Well I finnally went ahead and done her today, I painted my steel 16" tacoma rims black, they are looking good so far, I chose a flat black, did 6 coats each rim, and then went to a clear coat, which I gave each rim 5 coats of. I'm currently finishing off the last rim, I will post pics when completed.
Oh yeh the first few coats I did i gave a light sanding in between with 4000 grit sand paper and it did a real nice job leaving things all nice and smooth!

Thank you, I ordered a can of Indigo Ink Spray paint, I'm going to do my differential the same color as the truck, seeing as I was planning on draining my transmission and refill figured might as well do her while Im under their, and then Im goin to paint the center caps for the rims indigo ink, I will see how they look If I dont like em I'll sand em back down and go with black!

Wow! Good job on the wheels. I have that exact same truck (except 2wd ) and I think I'm gonna do the same thing. Although I'm trying to think of a different color other than black...I've always had black wheels. Those look awesome though. Did you prime them before you painted them ? And also, is your Taco lifted ?
