Both are great... casein is a slow digestive protein.. good for long periods w/o eating and bedtime

whey is great for pre and post workouts allowing your body to get the fuel it needs... you can also sub it for a snack w/some carbs in it too.. I use both every day

Np.. but I would start with a good healthy proper diet... sup's are there just to be a guiding hand. They arent the end all be all for getting ripped massive or what ever. You cant out train and out supplement a piss poor diet

not saying you are dieting wrong but this is just something I tell everyone ;) PSA if you will

Another leg day in the books. I didn't really stretch well beforehand like I usually do and got a cramp in my left quad mid-lunge. Shit hurt like hell, but it was still my mother fucking set, so I finished them out!

Leg Extensions: 1 set of 30 (ascending reps) @ 50 lbs

    Leg Press: 10 sets of 3 @ 470

    Front Squat: 6 sets of 5 @ 135

    Glute Bridge w/ Pause: 5 sets of 6 @ 185

Dumbbell Lunges: 3 sets of 10 w/ 15 lb dumbbells

Leg Curls: 2 sets of 15 @ 25 lbs per leg

Sipping on my post-workout ON double chocolate w/ 1 tsp peanut butter and a banana blended w/ it

There weren't any bars available a while back and I was going to do some upright rows. Got on the cables and put it on what I thought would be heavy...ended up pullin that bar up and smacking myself in the chin and almost busted a tooth :anonymous: went ahead and went up another 50 lbs and tried again

I actually lost a little weight somehow. I had doughnuts and BBQ sammiches and a low country boil and cookies and more doughnuts. Figured I'd treat this whole weekend as a refeed day. Haha.

I usually lose weight on holidays and on vacation because I pretty much stop eating and just drink lol...this time was a horrible combination of horrible eating and moderate drinking. Last night, for instance, I had 2 32 oz. margaritas, a cheese dip, 2 baskets of chips, and 3 tacos lol.

I usually do squats every leg day, but I'm doing a 30 day cutting program and am tryig to follow it pretty strict and there's no squats on it, so I don't do them...only 2 more weeks of this bullshit before I go back to my bulking workout and 3500 calories per day. Can't wait.

Too poor to list anything interesting.

It's like a protein slushee drink. Even with water. I haven't had the stuff in years, but I remember it well.

    I use one of these
    [IMG]
and it mixes it up pretty well. I mean, it's still pretty thick, but not nearly as bad as before I used it.

When I was bulking, I would throw a scoop of Casein in there with whole milk and a couple scoops of ice cream and it mixed up pretty good.

    Most boxes sell them.

Generally they come with the following:

    - Their t-shirt. Must fit snug. You are to wear it to the box but must take it off before entering. You put it on again after you have left the box.

    - Knee high socks. Assorted obnoxious colors.

    - Wrist wraps. These are for fashion only. You must wear them as bracelets.

-Something reebok. You are paying a premium for the crossfit logo BUT it makes you cooler and stronger. Fact.

-A member card you must fill out. This is where you put your hospital, insurance provider and who to contact when you fuck up. Must be on you at all times.

-Chalk. Use excessively. Even for push ups.

-And lastly a "how to" on posting about crossfit on social networks.

You forgot the $250 a month on the supplement line they are now pushing.

Be careful with those dead hang pull ups. I know they're called dead hang, but don't actually fully hang. There is a difference in going all the way down and hanging. People usually learn the difference once they tear up a shoulder.

This is so accurate, it's not even funny....no wait, it's funny as hell. I do see his point though, as it is impossible to do endurance exercises in a traditional gym atmosphere

This is the one we have at our gym. It's amazing. The downside is that they're like $350

When I started, I only went in with my regular gym clothes. Years later, the only thing I changed is my shoe type (minimalist style) and using liquid chalk (they never turn the AC on, and I sweat like a whore in church). Don't buy into the hype of needing X supplement to do Y. Same goes with the all natural free range organic water and food they recommend. And don't even get me started with the Reebok branding & price hike on clothing.

Take your time on the workouts too, especially with the weights. Don't feel like you have to rush through it just because it says "for time".

I can just feel the sarcasm!

once at a dead hang your lats are no longer activated, going from a dead hang would scare me lol

As long as youre doing things safely and not for ego... Every once in awhile you need to lift for ego but not every single workout

Alos I think its false that you cant cgain endurance at a gym lifting weights... doing high knees burpees jumping rope in between sets will get your heart rate going... just gotta adapt and overcome ;)
