Has anyone seen any modded trucks of this particular edition? I've read a quite a few posts about how ugly these things are, but I personally love mine (silver with the black flares). I'm thinking about lifting it etc but I'm looking for some ideas and I haven't been able to find very many pics. The only thing I've done so far to it is remove the cheezy graphics and the plastic mud flaps. Thanks.

I've kept them for now only because I can't really afford to get some different ones, nor have I decided which ones to get yet. I really want to get the white letterings of my tires though. Not too sure what's the best way to do it.

Do you? I don't exactly want mine.

I bought the rugged trail edition for these reasons:

    1) It was the only 4x4 access cab manual I could find, period.
    2) I like 'industrial' look of the non-SR5 base trucks but wanted a locker. the R/T edition comes close.

The decals on mine are gone, the floor mats are gone, the OEM skid is going soon, and the rims will go when I can get a line on some spare-tire type steelies for cheap.

EDIT: It must be a trick of the black wheels, but I always thought the stock R/T edition trucks look lower to the ground than regular TRD.

    Here is my truck premod:

I will get post mods pictures up later today or tomorrow.

That'd be sweet. I'd like to see what you've done to yours as I've got almost the same truck (double access though) so I can get some ideas goin.

When it comes to 'stock trucks', I think they are the best looking Tacomas out there.

Mine. One of the very few in my area (have only seen a handful out on the road.)
