One of the local guys, YotaMatt. Going to use 2x3 square.

I'm hoping for a successful conversion or :bananadead:

I'm going to try to sell the DB/coil overs as a package at first. If no luck I'll piece it out.

I'm gonna have to side with my west coast homie Scarlett on this one buddy... Your spending a mint on the front LT stuff and then going with Allpoo leaves in the rear ? That's the reverse mullet truck ... Long in the front short in back or if you prefer party in the front business in the rear... well that didn't sound good :/

I'm assuming your answer about SUA will be that it has less ground clearance and therefore is not as good for crawling and muddin' ?

Well you don't need a bed cage and 18" Kings with triple bypasses for a functional SUA. So I still don't understand where having 12+ inches of travel in the rear is a bad thing no matter where you are. Sure you may not have sand filled washes with nasty whoops but you do have dirt roads and trails that I'm sure have the ability to be driven fast on and have jumps. So yea, I'm curious here and someone has to have a solid answer as to why a spring under axle is bad out east.
If youre going to spend the 7+ on a LT front, end up adding fenders to just have a stiff as hell rear?

I was recommended this set up by a few folks with LT after discussing SUA.

The all pro leafs are just an off the shelf solution. When I get back it'll get hoops, custom length shocks, Deaver or Alcan springs if I'm not happy with the all poos Not looking to impede bed space with a cage. Maybe one day, if I head out west...

Wheeling on the east coast isn't all mud pits...just like the west coast isn't all Glamis style

The expo rigs all pro builds are set up with +2 LT up front, SOA with ubolt flips in the rear and whatever flavor of RR shock. These trucks are aromored up, locked up and purposed built to crawl out to remote locations and camp for extended periods of time. I can see that a bed cage would def not work too well when you pack for that kind of trip.

As I read into this I have found that the SUA vs SOA debate is a long running one. Too each his own and regardless, its your monies. Im excited to see your build and learn from it. Good luck man!

Anythings better then a drop bracket. /end debate :p

all jokes aside - the rear is going to be trial and error. Focus right now is shit canning the DB. it's been fun, but I'm not going to dig any deeper into my pockets to get better performance out of something I'd never be satisfied with.

derailed the db thread. back to mall crawling and tire shine. :stirthepot:

Well since ya' poked the bear with that mall crawling and tire shine comment... I'm gonna' have to challenge you to a flex contest via photos when your new set up is done... I'm really going to hate it when my mall crawling DB shows more flex than your LT rig.... Game on amigo :)

Aaron, is there any way you could post some pictures of how your cross member looks now? Im really considering going back to stock height. I might supercharge it if I do. I love the looks of my truck and sitting up higher, but the gas mileage on 35's is killing me. I'm getting around 12 when I drive back and forth to my college which is 2 hours away, but I'm getting around 14 when I just drive it around town real easy. I'm on stock gearing but from what I've read, 35's and 4.56 gears will give you around 14-15 mpg. Supercharging wont really help either. Any input? Ideas, suggestions, harsh language? Haha I'm just not sure what I should do at the moment.
