Will Pro Comp 7089s 16x8 work on my 2010 prerunner??

    I have 2010 DC prerunner and wanted to get the Pro Comp 7089 rims in 16x8 4.5 back spacing. I am getting 265/75/16 bfg all terrains this week. Any body know if I can run these rims on my truck without too much rubbing on stock suspension and will they rub the brakes? PICS WOULD BE GREAT

    They should work. I had 16x10 on my truck, but that was with a 3 inch lift and 33s

    Also, you will probably have just a slight rub while turning with no lift. With a slight lift it will eliminate any rubbing. The tire size would normally fit, but the 7089's have 0 offset which moves the tires outwards.

    The 16" 7089's will clear the calipers.

    How do you figure that adding lift will get rid of rubbing? Suspension still cycles the same distance whether it's stock or lifted.

    The 7089's move the tire away from the frame because of more offset. Moving the tires closer to the outer wheel well plastic. That's what it rubs. I had this issue before lifting. After you lift the truck, it lifts the wheel well away from the tire, hence eliminating wheel rub.

    Until you take it offroad... Lift will not magically get rid of rubbing.

    I haven't had a single incident of rubbing since lifting in 25k miles. Even if you were off-roading hard enough to compress that far, the world will keep spinning.
