Was browsing through here a bit and saw at the bottom of the page the Aim sports 4x32 dual lll scope. Anyone use it before? Sorry if it's been discussed already. Just looking for a scope with a bit a zoom for my AR that isn't too pricey. I zero'd in my optic yesterday at 150ish yards. Would like to shoot further out but it's a little hard to see the targets we were shooting at since they were camouflaged with the valley. Below is an example. It's a target setup at 900 yards we were shooting with my buddies Savage 6.5 creedmorr.

You can barely see it, but right below the cross hair is a yellow target. That's what I meant by kinda camouflaged. This one was at 900 yards. But even the ones at 150 yards are like this and it's hard to see through a red dot optics and A2 iron sight on my AR.

900 yard shot is a bit of a stretch for a 5.56! That is if that is what you were shooting.

The target in the picture is camouflaged, that's why it's hard to see. They have these targets from one that looks like it's in the prone position to ones peaking around a corner to ones like in the picture. They range from 150-900 yards. I would like to stretch out my 5.56 to around 400 yards but the targets are hard to see with the naked eye. Any recommendations on scope that isn't too pricey? I have been looking at the Nikon P223 since it's under $200.

A friend has a Nikon P223 on his AR 5.56 and seems to like it. While I have never used this optic, the price point seems like a great deal.

I use a 458 Socom and a Redhawk 45 Colt revolver as backup, loaded to 44 magnum speeds. .451" makes a much larger hole than .429". I use Belt Mountain Punch Bullets in it for backup like this. Solid brass except for a thin 1/16" tube of lead dead center so it isn't "solid" brass and can be used legally to hunt with. Shown below are the .357 versions, he sells them in 44 and 45 Colt sizes too. They aren't cheap but those in 44 and 45 loaded right will stop just about anything that rolls or walks on the continent.

Looking for a barrel for my 300 BLK SBR build.
I've heard lots of good things about noveske barrels, and they seem like a good company to support so I'll be getting a noveske.
My biggest question, 8.2'' or 10.2''?
My suppressor will most likely be this one, so 9'' added, bringing the overall length to 17.2'' or 19.2''.
My current AR upper is a 18'' Hbar with a flash hider that adds 2-2.5''m and IMO it's a little long, will the extra 2'' add anything noticeable performance wise?

Yes indeed. He crafts these puppies. Tromix is the place to get barrels and bolts right now within days. If you search you can find RRA uppers. Try to find a carbine gas system, I did not know and purchased the mid-length gas system. It works great, but only with a few certain powders. Carbine gas system works with all of them. You really need to reload these too, factory prices are $3 each or more. Reload with good bullet for around 80 cents each. Reload with bulk Remington bullets for around 60 cents each. It has the energy of a .308 at the muzzle and at 200 yards has the energy of a 44 magnum at the muzzle. :) PS. Stay away from Wilson stuff in 458 Socom, it is not true to the original specs or twist rate.

Looking to build a 300 blk soon myself and everything ive read says that 8" is long enough to fully burn all the propellant. You will lose some velocity but not enough to worry about. I will be using something in the 8" range

I'm leaning towards the 8'' also, when hunting it'll be nice and compact, and if I hunt suppressed (in my state it's legal) it won't be to long.

I hunt lots of pigs and help a professional ranch do this often. The 6.8 is devastating to pigs. We get complete pass throughs at 200+ yards on them out of 12.5" suppressed barrels. Of course we try to get as close as possible to get as many as possible. You can check out the Ranch's website here WildRiverRanch.net.

The 300BO is great for cqb but we have seen less than stellar performance in the hunting end of things. Especially on tough animals like pigs. Most require follow up shots. Sometimes more than 1. Just my 2 cents from seeing how customers rifles perform on actual animals.

All of my hunting is sub 100 Yards, deer, some pigs, and small varmints, I think with the right loads and shot placement it won't be an issue, and if it's a issue I have my 30-30 that always goes with me.

Yeah if it's inside 100 I agree I think you'll be good to go. I just hate seeing a hunters face when they shoot a pig and nothing happens especially when they are paying for a guided hunt.
