Folks. I am going shopping for a DC long box 4x4. TRD package. This will replace my 2012 taco ac. with 70000 miles. The tires I got are very good and like them ( Goodyear advantage). The question is this. I can have these tires swap to my new dc taco?
I checked the Nada book called for 20k for my 2012.

A little advice. Do to how far we are along in the year wait for the 2015 to come out and see what they have changed. If you do not like them or they are too expensive then get the 2014.

^This. I quit looking last July and just waited until Oct and got a '14 instead.

Too bad this wasn't the year for a 28mpg engine. Sigh...

Probably won't be that much difference in the 2015 besides the TRD Pro package. If you want that I'd say get it. Who knows, maybe once the 2015s come out you'll be able to pick up a 2014 for a little less.

It depends on what model you buy. A TRD OffRoad has 16" wheels, a TRD Sport has 17" wheels, I think that the Baja has a different size too. If buying the same model again, they will fit.

^^ I think OP's limited to the Sport if he wants DC + Long Box, so as long as the tires fit the Sport's 17s I don't think the dealership would have a problem keeping a brand new set of tires. I'm sure they'll find some old ones to throw on your trade (if you're trading).

I just went through this twice. Had a truck setup, waited for delivery but home purchase messed it up.

Ordered another truck and waited 5 weeks to get it (DCLB)

If you're set on the long bed, find one and lock it in. Not common, and I wouldn't spend the extra money on the sport package. Just my opinion, but you're spending 3k for a hood scoop, shocks, and power outlet. Money better spent adding to a SR5 package

Btw, I ordered and built to my specs DCLB, 4x4, SR5, tow, added leather and remote start for 31,723. Talked to 7 dealers and ended up buying out of state. Saved over 3k compared to the next best price

TRD OR has the 16 inchers. You gotta get the short bed but those are better anyway :)

No, you can't get the off road package with the long bed. He's just saying he thinks the short beds are better.

The only TRD option with long bed is the sport, which I pointed out isn't worth it if you keep the truck long term or want to lift it later

    Short bed sucks ballz

Get a DCLB SR5 4x4 if you plan on changing out the suspension

Why not wait with all the rumors of a redesign in 2016?

Other than a rear locker, is there any reason to spend the extra cash for a TRD?
