    Hondas are cheap...that's what I have because the tacoma gets 13.5 and the 4runner gets 18..my.honda gets 33

    Well I wouldn't go and set a challenge like that just yet bud, the TC+2 LT kit with 285s (33s) hits 11.5" of wheel travel which is 3.5 more inches then I see with my MT set up. We go back to the basics here, stock length arms can only travel so far. Just saying, no matter how much cash you have in those kings and fabrication, you still have stock length arms.

    Those Nitto's are incredibly heavy also. Ever though about going to a 33'' tire? I average 18.9mpg currently w/ 285 70 17 Nitto trails and live in similar terrain you do. I'll be going to Goodyear mtr's very soon in 35's which still weigh less then my 33'' Nitto's. Just a thought..

    same i ran my 35 nitto mud grapps.... 80lbs per tire with rims averaging 40 lbs per wheel so 120 x 4 -480 extra lbs on my truck. i was still able to average 16 mpgs but i drove like there was an egg under my gas pedal. Now im running these (see pic) and im averaging 18mpgs. Thats also no longer driving like an egg is under my pedal. When i drive nice i get up to 21 mpgs. Im pretty happy with 33's anyway

    This. You can get a decent civic for 3grand.
    I have trail grapplers, 35x12.50r18 weighed in at 120 lbs on 18x9 monsters. Just ordered mtrs though

    truck looks awesome man! can we get some more pictures of 6" lifted tacomas on 33's? I know theres a thread on it, but I'd like to see some more from the newer guys, I love the look of my 35's but its killing me. Any suggestions for a 35" M/T that doesn't way all that much? I only got the nitto's because i was in a rush to get the truck finished at the time. I've been thinking about finding a beadlock looking wheel again, miss the look of my trd simulated beadlocks, and getting a lighter tire. The shop I bought the tires from said that My tires would be a 35x12.50x17, but when i looked it up after they were already on the truck, the size is actually a 34.3x13.4x17:(

    Thanks bradda. mines sitting at 8" over stock height with 33's and my only complaint is that i wish they were a lil wider but i still dont know whats the max width i can put on a 17x7.5 rim. my 285's are at about 11.5 wide right now and i was told not to go any wider due to risk of popping beads too easily.

    height is perfect. might move to a 34 because i can... but its not really a big deal to me. My thing is its gotta be light. These MTZ's couldnt be beaten as far as weight vs size and tread. im really pleased with my MTZ's they handled dried lava beds that my mud grapplers would have been torn up on.

    I don't think want a race kit like that for a trial rig, you lose turning radius when you go LT 2" over because wider = wider turning radius. Not a huge prob at just 2" over but if you throw in a horizontal uniball joint like that into the on top of a wider stance you lose even more turning radius. You gain travel with that which is why all the serious LT kits or " race kits " use it...but it would suck for narrow trails or crawling IMO. A truck like that literally can't turn sharp enough to make it through a Taco Bell drive through...at which point life is just not with living :)

    :pout: i know i miss those tires... guy i sold em to is selling them kuz he couldn't run them without rubbing. i wanna buy em back kuz they are just too badass......... but i dont need them so i cant justify losing 2 grand for tires i dont need :(
