Not being a dick but you probably should. You're what 23... Take some time off man. Enjoy life being sober. It's a hell of a better ride. I mean I drink occasionally but Never to get drunk.

I'm sure most will agree but to some level all of us care about you and I know I was worried about you just taking off like you did at Windrock.

Yeah. I've pushed my luck a few times and been an idiot. I've got a drinking problem. Drinking, drugs, and the wild life style runs in my family. I know what I'm in for if I don't straighten up. I'm just one of those guys that 1 is 1 too many and 1 is never enough. So it's either all or nothing. I'm going to cut out everything. I'll probably start a new thread for my sobriety instead of jacking this one. Tomorrow at work (12:24 my time, about 5hrs fr now) my cigs and snuff will be left at home and when I get off work, there will be no more 40's, 6'ers, 12'ves, ect. And definitely no more bars. At least not now. I've got to learn to control everything first.

Edit: not bad for spell check, several re-do's, and a early submit all with one eye open and trying to focus. Zach, you have no excuse for poor spelling/grammar. /Oz rant lol

    C0|]Y |_| R 1337 |-|4><0RZ :roflcopter:

Thought you might laugh at that.

Edit 2: It took 3 tries. Still better than one of Zach's posts.

Control & moderation Sage, don't just cut it out totally. That tends to lead to weak moments, breakdowns, relapses, etc. Still have it, but know when to say stop. Or have 1 night a week where you still drink...but not pass out drunk.

Adam, I don't think I'm gonna be able to get the storage bins to work out. I messed with them yesterday and it didn't go to well. Let em hang around by my toolbox for a week so, see if a grand epiphany hits.

Some insane turnaround on getting Gids rear bumper and turning it white, looks good.

Dang. I was really hoping you were gonna say 17-18. I'm needing better gas mileage for when I come home from school this year. It sucks to blow through $70+ of gas in 2 days. I've thought about taking the 6" lift off and going back to 33's or even just leveling the truck...and maybe supercharging:D but it's pretty damn near impossible to fix the cross member thats been cut. I know you can do it, but I dont really know of a "safe" way to do it.

Yeah, my rear pinion seal leaks a little. I've had it replace 3 times so i just said screw it. I just make sure ive got plenty of fluid in there. It's a small leak and it actually started to do the same on the front not too long ago.

Im getting 13-15 driving around town. it just kinda depends. And high way i get around 12-13
Do they use the stock cross member that was cut? The shop I had install it, through it away. Anyway that i could take square metal and fab that up? I was reading on it last night and they say it'd be easier to sell the truck and buy a new one. I did find a nice 2014 MGM tacoma, manual, sport with 3000 miles on it at my local dealer....

I'd get a new truck. Now you own a truck that's had serious sergury on it twice and appears to be a "bad egg" to begin with. Is your truck paid for? And if it is, can you afford that 2014 with a trade in? I'm all for mods and half of my mods aren't easily reversible but I also started out with the exact truck I wanted and don't have a "problem" with anything it does.

I think I'm over reacting about gas mileage....I just need to figure out how i can boost my gas mileage. And even though re-gearing takes less strain off of the drivetrain, I don't see it being worth it if I'm looking for a gas mileage increase. Although, I'll probably go ahead and do it just to prolong the life of my truck. But what if I did a regear and supercharger? How would that turn out?

Wait wait wait ....... So you're gonna buy yourself a handful of tie rod parts and then buy me one if you have enough money!? I think you got those priorities backwards ......
Ask Taylor. Hes got both, I think. And to just answer your question is a lil hard. The stock power to gear ratio will give you the best mpg. If you go with bigger tires you either need to match the engine torque to rotating mass or match the gear torque to rotating mass. Now which one is better, I don't know for sure but here's what makes sense to me ......... The more power you create out of your motor, the easier it is to move the weight. You will create less of a total load on the engine but it still takes extra fuel to make that power. It's different then say a diesel where you are just tuning different and can create more power and better fuel. You can't tune a stock taco motor like that. You have to add different parts. You are also not talking about just throwing a cai on but instead a sc which is a parasitic load on the motor by itself. So you're adding something that loads the motor and takes extra fuel, to put less load on the motor and hope it uses less fuel. Which is better, Idk. But gears have nothing to do with the motor itself. They have no parasitic load and effect fuel in no way. The only thing they do is change the rate at which the motor operates but all the "extra" work is done through the gears themselves.

So where the balance comes in is finding the right combo of gear torque, how much to operate the motor at the best rate to create an efficient power to weight ratio, and engine power to compliment it while not using unneeded fuel.

The easy answer to me is match your gears to your tire size. Your motor will create the same amount of power required to turn the bigger tires as it did when it was stock. The only difference is a slight engine rpm change which will effect gas mileage but will put less overall load on your engine. DONT MAKE THIS COMPLICATED!!!!!!!
Damn you pulled this outta your ass. Haha I had to go back and look at what we were talkin about. But yeah maybe. If the shackle pin is the same size as the hitch pin and the shackle is wide enough then yeah I guess it would work
