IT IS COMPLICATED!!!! My big problem driving back and forth to cookeville is going through the mountains. Sometimes my truck downshifts to 3rd gear and will run 3-3500rpm's all the way up. It also changes gears A LOT. Who knows....if I can sell that 64 Ford, I'll finish paying off the jeep and probably regear my truck. Then i might swap axles in the jeep but im not sure yet. I've also thought about selling my wheels and tires and finding something i like a little better. I miss the beadlock look and i could use some lighter tires.

 

Yall remember the shakle braket in the receiver hitch at LBL? I think thats what bill is talking about. And the holes for the lock pin are 5/8".

 

If you're running through the mountains, regearing is the better option than supercharging. The higher you are the thinner the air is. Forced induction tends to suffer in thinner air. Its not going to be as noticeable or really even matter in the Appalachians though. I say regear. Its cheaper anyway.

 

To some people they'd be called hills, but theyre decent inclines. I'll probably just regear it.

Lol let me elaborate I'm going to buy them and by the next meet I should have enough $ to repay you but right now I have a bad wheel bearing both inner and outer tie rods rack and pinion and axle boot kits that I have to purchase and I just spent some money surveying land so I can figure out where I can build my house ... long story short is I'm a broke bitch

 

I know y'all are 2nd gens and I just learned you can't get 5.29s... But I get 19mpg on my 37s

Yeah yeah. Just rub it in!! I would get 5.29s with a quickness if someone made them. And you also don't run 80 on the interstate a bunch. My ultragauge read 17.4 from the trip back and my speedo is off 5 mph at 70. I stayed between 70-80 the whole way. So I really have no clue what the math is but I'd guess maybe another mpg. Haha

 

Borrowed money from my brother for the shocks haha but now with overtime I should recover

$100 is free, even if they need a rebuild, even if they need new rod ends, even if they are anodized ........ Only way I wouldn't buy them is if they are 8" shocks. Waste of your money

They ain't on my phone. On my computer. It always takes me a week or so to have a normal day when I come back from a trip. 4 days offroading and away from home leaves me with a lot of shit to do.
