Greetings everyone! I am the proud new owner of a 2009 Tacoma Double Cab Sport. After poking around online, I found this site and knew immediately that the info it offers will be invaluable to me as a Taco owner. Not planning on going crazy with mods, but I have already purchased and installed some Ionic running boards, and have just about finished purchasing everything for my stereo upgrade. Anyone interested in the details of these, let me know. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. Thanks in advance for all the useful info I have already found, and for all that I'm sure to find in the future!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes everyone. I feel like I've found lots of long, lost brothers (and maybe a few sisters too). I can already see from browsing the site that it's gonna take LOTS of discipline to keep the spending on my Taco under control. Oh, the peer pressure!!! Anyway, looking forward to all the great info to come. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute some useful info for everyone at some point. Again, many thanks!

Thanks! Knew there had to be some sistas on here.

Well, so far (only had this baby for 11 days now) I've installed some Ionic Railway running boards (black). Really like the bars themselves, but can't decide about the mounting brackets. I want my truck to be pretty much black and white, and the brackets are silver. Doesn't really look bad (matches up with the stock alloys), but they may look a little better black. I'm going to ponder it awhile longer, but may end up painting them black.....a very simple fix. The other immediate upgrade, and what I'm most looking forward to, will be the stereo system. Just trying to decide on my rear speakers and I'll have everything to get that done, probably next weekend. A quick rundown: Pioneer FH-P8000BT head unit, Polk Audio db6501 component system for the front, Polk mm651's for the rear (probably, once I confirm they'll fit), Infinity 1052W DVC 4 ohm Reference subs in custom enclosure, and an Alpine PDX-5 amp to push it all. Other than that, perhaps some EGR rain guards (like the in-channel design, but worried about scratching the glass over time). I'm sure more will be added to the list as I spend more time here at TW! BTW, here's a link to my boards and where I got them if you're interested:
