I used lexan. Pretty sturdy. I might add a bracket near the breaker for extra support

Nope. I did that 2 tanks in a row. Of the 90 miles on that tank, 20 of which were nice and easy doing 55 mph on the highway (to and from gas station) and the other 70 miles were all at WOT/redline in the sand dunes.

Was just about to comment as reading the post. Super excited to get it. Already orders the fuse block and breaker. Light bar will be here tomorrow and will connect my bed lights and hood lights.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.

I'm up in the air on it. I pulled the dash on my 95 and the structural steel was coated in rust. Heat/thaw cycle and condensation can wreak havoc. If the contacts are clean and connect the grease will keep out everything. The consistency of the grease isn't enough to keep the contacts from connecting properly. Everything I just said goes out the window if the vehicle is in an arid environment.

I love mine and it was super easy to wire it up; I'm glad I didn't get the battery only version. Lights up the dark spots of the console at night, but it isn't distracting while driving. Oh and they all have white light, plus another color.

    A few things
I have the battery powered one. Looks like its built in to the dash! People dont even know it's an add on. Have had it for a few months and left on a couple times over night but lights are still bright. Looks really cool when night driving. I have white and blue.
