Can anyone recommend a good amp for Type R speakers

I just purchased a Pioneer AVH-X5600BHS. I was looking at getting the Alpine Type R 6.5 component speakers up front and the Type R 6.5 coaxial speakers for the rear. Can anyone recommend a good amp to power them. I am looking to spend around $250. Thanks everyone!

T-fade is a very great guy on the audio forum and does everything unbiased as possible and fair. I'm looking to get one of these little amps when I'm ready to do a system.

 

I'll have to look into that brand more. Never heard of them but they are pretty darn cheap for the power output they have

 

The brand from what I heard is pretty reliable. But I haven't personally tested them. The biggest bonus for me is how small it is. It'll fit just about anywhere.

 

I had 4 6.5" and one set was components. It was in a 98 integration and it was by far best set I've personally ever had and all I'll ever use now. Didn't have an amp but I would get alpines 4 channel 400 rms. 100 x4

 

I was thinking about this. Anyone have input on pioneer amps?

For just a hair more I'd look at the Pioneer PRS-D4200F. It's their premier line of amps at a very reasonable price

 

I'll look into that one as well. Crutchfield recommended this amp. Any input?

I would go with that pioneer out of the 3 that were listed never heard of SO personally so I would go with a big name you know IMO

Exactly, you pay for what you get. Personally I don't run class D to any or my door speakers. Only A/B setups for me. Which you pay out the A$$ for. But this class D amp with the Type-R's is a GREAT combo. If you need a sub the 5ch amp is the exact same watts plus a 500watt mono amp for the sub. You can get that amp for around $400 which covers your entire sound system. I install them quite often and people love them.

 

I don't want to spend $400 on an amp + another $75 on an install kit. I get the you get what you pay for but I'm looking for the best bang for the buck for around a $250 limit.

 

Go to techronics.com and find what you want. Then go to sonicelectronix.com and they'll price match.

I reccomend the JL Audio 700/5. It's what I run. Tiny amp, plenty of power and a sub channel because you'll want to add a sub eventually!

 

That JL is way above my budget

 

Pioneer brand is a very known one and very reliable. You should be good with it. At least a decade ago they were one of the leaders in the segment.

Either way, find whatever you want on techronics, then get sonicelectronix to price match.

 

Ok I deiced on the pioneer GM-D8604. It had the power I needed for the speakers I will be using and in my price range. Here is everything I have bought so far...

I haven't picked out a amp install kit or speaker adaptors, if anyone has any to recommend.

I am also thinking about doing sound deadening in the doors but haven't deiced yet.
