    Lucky!

Nice! Did you drill an additional hole on the side right where it goes? I did that with a mount bracket I got on Amazon. Works nicely. The wire doesn't even hit when I close the tailgate.

I do triathlons too, but I can't keep that kind of speed up yet :pout:

I'm more of a century rider. But hate being in the middle of a draft line. I usually pull, or ride solo. I'm just not that serious to get on the podium.

No. Just two holes to mount it where the existing bolts are. I need to buy a longer cable. The one that came with the antenna is two short.

not too shabby! a 24 mph average is pretty good. wind resistance on a real bike is a whole new animal, but you just did better than the vast majority of people.

not really. last century race I did (actually measured 106 miles) took me 4 hours, 55 minutes, which is a hair over a 21.5 mph average.

    Thanks.

Ended up looking like this in the end:

Pretty on the outside, kinda fugly on the inside. But it works, and didn't have any problems with my 5' antenna going 80+

What caused me to do it was when I had my magnetic lil Wilson on, I asked my girlfriend to take it off the roof before I backed under the carport.

She didn't know you were supposed to pull it off instead of drag it across.

That was after I took a buffer to it and smoothed it out as best as I could.
