    This! I am very skeptical and leary about that stuff. Like he said, if it's low, there is a reason for it being low. A leak is most likely the cause.

    I guess I am sort of confused, when they said my AC was shoddy, I had them (granted I took it to Big O) run the diagnostic. They said there were no leaks, so why then, would there be low levels? Again, excuse my ignorance

    They would get money if they said I had a leak that needed to be fixed. Why tell me all was good, just recharge it if that were the case?

    It was directed at who looked and said no leaks. If there is/was dye in the oil/refrigerant, I can take a look if you want to come up this way.

    Dani, If they checked for a leak when your A/C wasn't working, they wouldn't likely find a leak as your system wasn't under pressure. They would need to fully charge it and only then check for the leak. If they checked for a leak after they charged the system and didn't find a leak then you should be fine. I think you had said your A/C was blowing hot. If they charged it and then it was blowing cold, and they didn't test for leaks you may experience diminishing cooling power.
