Hey, so I live in Vancouver and had to bring my truck in to do a smog test, only here we call it "air care". The truck failed because their computer couldn't communicate with the truck. Bummer. Took a look in both fuse boxes and only found one burnt fuse - a 30A for towing tail lights. Replaced that one and and OBD fuse for good measure (even though it looked alright) and swung into a quick lube place to use their scanner, same problem. Scanner powers up and tries to communicate but can't. Ideas? Bad ECU?

There are a lot of threads about this issue use the search and You will find them. I had the same prob but in my case it was just the fuse for the port under the hood. I saw a lot of threads about very specific wires that tend to come lose with instructions on how to repair them, good luck !

I searched and didn't find a whole lot. I'll try again with some different keywords.
