My wife wants to go camping there sometime this summer....

 

I've had a leaky oil pan gasket and a bad water pump at 40k, I at least they were covered under warranty.

It almost make you think why someone traded it in.

 

That was the first thing I thought. and I got a really good deal on it so I'm sure they knew it had a problem..

 

Speed holes? I've never understood what these were for? I assumed just looks. I've also seem a lot of Civics with the loop things coming from the back too. Dunno what that's about.

 

I thought the loop things were tow points but yeah, no idea why civics have them or why they are like 1/8".

There's no way that works... I'd bet that creates more drag that a regular bumper if I had to guess. That has to fuck up air flow; wouldn't it just be a shitload of turbulence behind the vehicle?

 

99% of the time yes...it's just looks... but for some truly built sport compacts it's more so the drag does not rip the bumpers

 

I always assumed they were something people bought to look like they race. Like if to race you have to have a recovery point, and they decided to make them look blingy.

 

Its a diffuser... It breaks up the air in the back of the car at a high rate of speed in order to create less drag on the car and that loop thing is a tow hook... Supposed to be on drift cars for when they get stuck in the dirt but the "fwd tuner" crowd took it too

 

Not true. But they did try to make them blingy... And they are strong enough to be used as a tow point... I pulled my friend out of a snow bank this winter with it!

But my uncles vette has no actual tow points and he can run the track at E-Town!
