    More like rust forever. Everyone here boxes them to keep the crap out. If that truck ever saw mud it would trap half the pit in it along with salt and ice. Guys I know also don't use thin metal that could be dimple died they use real plate steel.

    :notsure: the only armored axles I have seen that don't have diff diapers look nothing like his... And I would assume because it works and didn't need to be changed.

    Diff diapers are tarded "bling" that isn't even functional. I got my tires to gain 3/4" ckearance...Fuck losing it to protect a thick cast diff.

    Axle trusses all look similar to his, just no silly Swiss cheese.

    If our axle houses had decent thickness on the back of it I wouldn't care about the diff skid. But since that metal is thin enough that if I back into a rock with it I'll have a really fucked up problem. Kevin from ato did that once. You have to remove the 3rd and the axle shafts and bash the axle cover back out to clear the gears. Also I'm not a fan of having to cut metal away from the drain bolt to be able to drain the gear oil. For the 1/4" that the diff skid sticks down I'll gladly use it. I've never had a situation where I was stuck because it, and wouldn't be stuck without it.

    I like my diff diaper thank you very much. It adds protection to the lowest point and a highly critical point. I can scrape my diff over rocks without worry. And you're talking about losing 1/4" of clearance on a 16 square inch area out of, for me, 13,493 square inches. Not a big sacrifice.

    LCA skids on the other hand are tarded "bling". They cover something that generally should be no where near the rocks since you should have your tire on them. And they cover a solid hunk of metal that has nothing inside of it that needs protecting. I get it if you're hard core about smoothing out the underside of the truck, but that's the last place I would cover.

    Do lca skids protect the alignment bushings or is that done by the front ifs skid? I haven't really researched it much but I do know I folded one over pretty bad the last rausch trip( I partially blame my mentally unstable tour guide :p)

    the tabs don't get folded over by hitting them on something. they get bent over when your alignment cams seize up and your suspension cycles, causing the LCA to move the cam, thus causing the cam to flatten the tabs.

    Do you have welded diff armor or something else? I've been trying to find something for our trucks. After watching my gopro videos of my diff literally dragging rocks/just missing rocks at Rausch I am considering armoring this section.
