im only running 33x12.5...but it looks like it might interfere with the shackle? im going to switch to 12" before i do it, but i figures since the bed is cut up in the back from the fuel cell that i might as well put a spare in there.

i dig that red truck...but dont want to have to re-do the whole rear bumper

I'm doing mine like the black truck. Didn't want to redo the bumper or the gusseting work to the frame. The tire will sit down 6.5" below the bed surface, but still exposed like that one. That way I can stack a 2nd without it being in my direct view.

 

the down side to having a tire that sunk into the bed is ground clearance. seems a bit low on the mullen truck. id be worried about puncturing it in a big dip or hard hit.

 

atleast you cut the dove tail out of your frame. should be pretty easy for you.

 

Mine won't sit down far enough to make contact with anything. But I have seen some that way, just need a skid down there.

Rylee has the cleanest looking inset tire in my opinion.

Yeah, the 35" tire fits nicely in there with room to spare.

 

yeah that's what i figured haha. i can't decide if i want spares or a fuel cell in the spot you're talking about. im trying to figure out a way to keep the bed still functional with 2 spares and a fuel cell.

 

take off on this with fuel cell below the bed maybe?

I'm sure that Ford bed is considerably bigger then the taco bed though. Even that looks like maybe 2' of room left.

 

Mine is that low on my 2nd gen. I have a skid just below the tire and it hasn't seen a scratch. Even when I was rolling around almost on my bumps.

 

Solo has a Lil feature in Dirt Sports + offroad. Not a bad Lil write up...but I'm a little bias.

Any suggestions on where to get limit straps, clevis's and the brackets looking at ordering through sdhq or kartek or is anyone offering TW discounts

 

SDHQ for sure. Kartek is kind of old fashioned and has a pricing structure that's antiquated. I used to go to their store all the time, and it seemed like the prices changed depending on who was working. If you are buying stuff for a race team,kartek is super cheap....if you are buying for yourself...retail +10%. SDHQ also has awesome customer service, decent prices, fast shipping, and they are on TW all the time answering our stoopid questions.
