    maybe consider something like this:
I added diamond plate to my sliders mostly to keep the sides of my truck clean since we live on a gravel road. I think it would also keep out sticks too!

Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
Look at the Firestone $170 Lifetime Alignment. 2 regular alignments almost pay for it. Get your oil changed there too and have them check the alignment for free every time.

    Spare tire question guys....

So I am running 33x12.5x15. Last night at the gym, my buddy and I got to talking about spares. I still have my stocker under the truck (245/70/16) He tells me I might as well leave that at home since it it obviously alot smaller and I could shred my gears if I ever used it. Now if I had to use it it would be to at least get me home.

Should I be getting a full size this weekend?? Or am I ok with this for a quick fix?

    I was thinking for a spare I could get a 33x10.5

With speed and long distance you could damage your gears, and if you had a limited slip you would destroy the clutch packs.

as long as the O.D. is close or the same you'll be fine with just about anything as a spare.

    Bone stock. For now.
I would definitely get a full size. Not only will it save your gears, it will be a helluva lot safer to drive.

I had my stock size also (225/somethingorother/16), and ended up finding a used full size (285/75/16) on Craigslist for $15. Cost me $11 to have it mounted and balanced. So, you may consider getting a used spare for much cheaper.

X2 on the craigslist route. It's a spare tire so road contact is going to be minimal. No need to drop a ton of cash into one, just get the same size and class (mt, at, etc) and you'll be fine.

I'm a fan of getting all 5 matching and rotating the spare in every tire rotation. Get use out of the spare instead of watching it dry rot away.

I want to go this route also.

The spare I currently have on the truck is the original one that came from the factory.

When I get the new tires on this week I'm going to get rid of that spare and throw the best current BGF AT on there. But ideally I should just buy another new Goodyear.

Autoanything.com. Overnight was the only option to Alaska but I expected a few days to process the order :notsure: I'm pretty happy haha. Just need to find a place to mount them to my current tires as I don't have the new tires I want. Probably won't for a few months.

Complete OME kit w/ 881's and dakars. All-Pro Sliders, CB, HAM Radio and various other minor stuff.
Not so much what I've done but trying to decide what to do next.:frusty::frusty::frusty:

    Option 1:
Complete CB setup using Bearcat 980. Its the cheapest of the options but I may only "need" it a dozen times a year.

    Option 2:
RAT skids. Self explanatory as far as their value. Most expensive option. I haven't "needed" full skids yet but this is something you want before the need.

    Option 3:
SOS Bedbar with spare tire carrier. Second cheapest option. The advantage is that I'll eventually get larger tires and will need some place to carry my spare. Also has the advantage of carrying a hi-lift and allows the placement of a tool box. Downside is it effectively uses up the truck bed.

    Option 4:
SOS LP rack with hi-lift mount and spare tire carrier. Second most expensive option. Has the same advantages as the bedbar but allows full use of the truck bed and is low profile. Not compatible with a tool box.

My vote goes towards skids, just installed my sliders (only protection to date) and I have had my CB mounted for the last 6 months without using it!
