    Bone stock. For now.
I would definitely get a full size. Not only will it save your gears, it will be a helluva lot safer to drive.

I had my stock size also (225/somethingorother/16), and ended up finding a used full size (285/75/16) on Craigslist for $15. Cost me $11 to have it mounted and balanced. So, you may consider getting a used spare for much cheaper.

X2 on the craigslist route. It's a spare tire so road contact is going to be minimal. No need to drop a ton of cash into one, just get the same size and class (mt, at, etc) and you'll be fine.

Sweet! Thanks guys. I was gonna buy a brand new rim to match my set (only $42 off summit) and try to find a used tire on CL

I'm a fan of getting all 5 matching and rotating the spare in every tire rotation. Get use out of the spare instead of watching it dry rot away.

I want to go this route also.

The spare I currently have on the truck is the original one that came from the factory.

When I get the new tires on this week I'm going to get rid of that spare and throw the best current BGF AT on there. But ideally I should just buy another new Goodyear.

Autoanything.com. Overnight was the only option to Alaska but I expected a few days to process the order :notsure: I'm pretty happy haha. Just need to find a place to mount them to my current tires as I don't have the new tires I want. Probably won't for a few months.

Not so much what I've done but trying to decide what to do next.:frusty::frusty::frusty:

    Option 1:
Complete CB setup using Bearcat 980. Its the cheapest of the options but I may only "need" it a dozen times a year.

    Option 2:
RAT skids. Self explanatory as far as their value. Most expensive option. I haven't "needed" full skids yet but this is something you want before the need.

    Option 3:
SOS Bedbar with spare tire carrier. Second cheapest option. The advantage is that I'll eventually get larger tires and will need some place to carry my spare. Also has the advantage of carrying a hi-lift and allows the placement of a tool box. Downside is it effectively uses up the truck bed.

    Option 4:
SOS LP rack with hi-lift mount and spare tire carrier. Second most expensive option. Has the same advantages as the bedbar but allows full use of the truck bed and is low profile. Not compatible with a tool box.

My vote goes towards skids, just installed my sliders (only protection to date) and I have had my CB mounted for the last 6 months without using it!

I'd say tough choice between 2 and 4. But based on NEED instead of WANT, I personally would opt for number 2.

    What did you use?

I might buy Raptor Liner and do my rocker panels and that same area.

Plus I have to do my tailgate and above the tail lights where the topper has rubbed off all my paint because the weather stripping is spent.

I used the Harbor Freight spray on bed liner :anonymous:
It's held up well on the bumper and the sliders so far.

That's what I do (and America's Tire) has done on my truck. Rear to front, front crossed to rear.

    Isu2014 is a great salesman.

Just bought a 3-piece set of 1/8" skids.
