    Once we got rain the fire in Kenai came under control pretty much. Haven't heard much about fires recently. Matanuska River is rising and probably gonna take some houses. NOTE: Don't build your house on the same level with and within a mile of a naturally braiding river. :der:

    Oh, the one to Valdez ... Yeah they actually got it reopened rather quicker than expected IIRC. And there wasn't as much actual damage to the road as one would have expected.
