I punched all my plates before I started bending them. I looked at cbis Web site and it looks like they just start off with angle and then weld on a piece of flat stock to make the channel. That seems a hell of a lot easier

Yea I knew they did theirs that way but id rather bend them in the break instead of welding a plate to a piece of angle, too many chances for the hole to be off from inside to outside plate

Plus I gotta pay for shipping too...Eric is local. There are no fab shops in Florida where anyone can get anything for any truck. We had Collin but he gone.. Not like I would put him out to do anything but Florida sux for metal fab shops. Mostly tourism crap round here.

So maybe when I open up shop I should move to FL??

Could always package them up like Erics with the legs and frame plates un attatched and you can have him weld them up. Would run about $350 Shipped

theres no shops here for a reason. FL is mud trucks. i dont think there is enough of a market to have a shop in fl. being that youre on the east coast youll get a good amount of business being that none of us want to pay shipping from the west coast where everything seems to be

    I have a few mods
I have to say patience is not one of my strong suites....BUT...I have been working on these headlights since 4pm today...cleaning them inside and out...still working on them and the difference is astounding :D, what do you guys think? the eyelids have 7-8 layers of plastidip then 2 coats of silver mica then 2 coats of clear coat

I got sick and tired of the yellowed headlights, granted they still have a yellow tint from them, but Im going to get another set eventually and retrofit them

now, im still waiting on the plasti-dip on the other headlight to dry (I put like 8 coats of it lol)

Dude you should open a shop right here in Cent. Fl. everyday I see more and more trucks getting cool stuff really dude the market is growing here for mall crawlers and off road rigs every day!!! Here in Orlando there are a ton of jeeps but tacos and chebys are growing in popularity. There is a huge cheby down the street that just put a custom (he made) tube prerunner bumper on his cheby...really dude it's growing here..

I wish I had the funds to actually do it :(
One day though! Always been a goal of mine since I was a kid hanging out at the drag strips! Bout to take over an original 85 Chevy stepside with 62k original miles that will become a shop truck but a good looking sleeper truck.. I miss racing too but I enjoy the rocks much more

Laylah is lookin sexy now after cleaning the headlights and color-matching the eyelids. Although I'm still kinda on the fence about removing the stripe on the hood, whether or not I like it without it
