Doesn't matter.... how can they tell you that you have xx time to do something, when they can't do it in that time, or that no one can do it in that time.

It's like when working in my old job - all the repairs in the book, were in the perfect place to repair, when actually all the repairs we had to do were in the worst possible places and the book didn't cover them....

I cant believe how bad the warranty pay is to do one of these. We have guys in our shop that try to get 4 hours if it's CP to do one. I think last CP I quoted may have been 2.5 hours based around the horrible warranty time. But I do enjoy most hybrid work, Especially the D0M highlander Invertor recall. 3 hours pay done in about 1 hour or less.

Reading all the above brings back the nightmares from the fork lift industry:eek:...perfect conditions and the times are low but out in the field there is no perfect conditions...I spent more time on the phone with the engineers explaining to them why more time was needed then it took to do some jobs:mad:...all engineers should spend a minimum of 2 years working in the field with the guys that have to fix their screw ups:yes:...maybe then our life will get better:D

good morning gang. 0200e dt here and i'm being busted by nurses in the hospital for being on my laptop.

had some chest discomfort yesterday and called ems who brought along the micu/medics people. nothing wrong found yet but sure one hell of a scare when one gets chest pains and passes out in his back yard ,now 2 days of observation and more tests, think it has more to due with stress and heat then the old ticker. plus one place I totally hate is the local hospital

the vette I didn't have any problem with the marine oil pan with the mounting kit and adapters we used, was a simple clunk into place, only greif was the headers, those were fun to wiggle into place and bolt up. still 3 men and 8 hours in 100 deg heat was the fun part

yes mike a solid 9.0 from currie would be nice but this is temp and I want to keep the irs for down the line should prices return at the auctions, I mean 82.000 for a restored silver blue 63 spilt window 340 hp 327 4 speed was a buy, others were going for around the 50 to 60 k range, retro rod'ed ones were getting almost double a stock restored. only high priced was a barn find 67 l88 that took 800.000 k plus ,then that one was one of only 50 made

 Hope it's just the stress and heat. Keep us posted.

Keep the nurses busy ... if you gotta be in the hospital, you might as well have a little fun. ;) I don't like hospitals either. :(

    Hang in there buddy,

Why does it seem so many don't understand that what works virtually, doesn't always work in real application? It takes me forever to get some of these kids to understand that concept when load planning aircraft. Letting computers do all the work is truly dumbing down our society. :frusty: Rant over ... gonna get a cup of coffee.

They want us to use all these safety gloves etc. which us smart BUT, like the heated seat recall, on the conference call, they were specific to TAKE YOUR TIME!!!!! Take our time, do it right. But, they don't pay ya the extra time for doing it right.
We are around the 4hr mark also for cp.
If the cooling fan is dirty I get another .5 to clean it out.

Damn Charlie, you need to take it easy for a bit:)....hope that everything works out okay and you don't have any issues:thumbsup:...but on the other hand, if they put you in for "Observation" and don't find any problem, most insurance companies won't pay and the hospital sends the bill to you:eek:(that's what happens around here). Take care and don't aggravate the nurses too much...just think "Sponge Bath":help:
