Because reebok is the premire sponsor and pays for most of it. And i dont know why you put sport in "" seems to fall under the definition just fine...

an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.

Hey guys I need honest feedback.

I stopped working out for about 3 weeks because I pulled a back muscle and decided to take more time than needed in order to fully recover. It also didn't help that I strained my back again after the first week playing with my dogs. :p

I figured I start doing deadlifts and starting light and easy. Can you guys check/comment on my form?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LQmS5CgWUs&feature=youtu.be

I do know that I have tight hip flexors and my right calf is tighter than my left which accounts for the right heel raising, but trust me I'm working on my stretching! At least I think that's the reason, but I do know my hip flexors are tight.

you're completely squatting the bar, your upright torso = no back involvement at all
notice how you're having to move the bar outside your knees on the pull?

Oh hey thanks for the input guys!!!

I had asked a guy who was deadlifting if he could check my form and he said I needed to go low. The only reason I asked him was because he was deadlifting 315 on the rack to my left.

I hadn't really planned on deadlifting today hence the not looking up any actual videos on correct form. :cookiemonster:

During my no gym time I decided I wanted to try dead lifts but I also realized that sitting for a good part of the day through classes for the last few years has tightened my hip flexors. I've got tons of work to do on myself. :p

    ^ this

also your feet are very flared out, which is gona be like you mentioned because of your lateral gastrocnemious and soleus (calfs). try and keep your feet straiter and bring you stance in a bit. think of twisting your feet into the ground but keep you feet pointing as strait as possible. thats how your going to create the torque in your legs. pull the slack from the bar and really feel your posterior chain engaged before lifting up on it. keep a flat back and really engage your shoulders/lats and that should help keep your back from rounding too.

You know it's a bit odd because when I squat my right foot has a tendency to flare out a bit on its own.

When I do a 3rd world squat and slowly lean forward my right heel rises up before my left. :/

Guess I just need to stretch it more.

and thank you for your advice, thank you all! It's a good thing I decided to ask at the beginning instead of snapping something later on down the road!

Day 3 of not being able to lift. It's fucking killing me. I've been searching for good 4 day splits b/c the 6 day thing isn't working out. When I very first started working out, I was doing 4 day splits and it lead to an overall gain of around 60 lbs over a few years, so I'm sticking with what works. I'm going back to the rudimentary basics and even using the first 4 day spilt I ever used: Doug's 4 Day Split from Muscle and Fitness. I believe this is, hands down, the greatest workout program ever designed b/c it's simple, you can move things around and switch things up after a while, it focuses on hypertrophy, and I know it works b/c I used it (and variations of it) for 3 years. No need to reinvent the wheel, here. This is the workout program I recommend to any newb trying to put on mass b/c, with a proper diet, I can 100% guarantee this shit works. I know that diet is 80% (if not more) of getting big/cut/ripped/whatever, but a good diet paired with this workout gives you the most bang.

    Mon: Shoulders, Tris, & Abs

    Tues: Back

    Thurs: Chest, Bis, & Abs

    Fri: Legs

Everything is 3-4 sets of 12-6 reps. That simple.

Woke up early. Had oatmeal, toast and 2 scrambled eggs. Drank a FAT scoop of Pre-Work out since it's leg day. Walk to my gym, and ITS CLOSED FOR EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION DAY!

I'm back at home trying to hydrate as much as possible to flush the pre-work out out of my system.
