OK, i ben thinking on some mods that i want to do to ma taco before the warranty xpires and i can get all crazy and lift it.
1-well, i have saw few 17' stock wheels & tires for sale, so i wonder if the same is true for the FJ Crisers they have som BFG's that i like, and may be able to get some for cheap.
2-i really like the idea of a roof rack but i really like the one on the FJ cruiser, so i wonder if some one make somthing similar or an actual FJC roof rack could be adapted to the taco.
3-this may sound kinda crazy, but how a taco would look with a white roof like a FJC?

Sounds like a job for photoshop. Add the area you like from a white Tacoma to one that's the color of your choice. :D

I hate the white roofs on the FJ's.....

That's the lamest thing that they ever did. I mean ..come on, if you're gonna continue the culture (or whatever) from that era - by gawd, keep the open top of the original FJ. There are far too many closed top SUV's on the market already!
*Sorry - got off on a tangent*

Yeah Janster they look like they were prepped for the police dept. and then they changed their minds and put them on the market:confused:

    :D

It was a mistake that they stopped making the original FJ's in the first place.

Just think ...if they continued to make the classic FJ's... toyota would have a bigger off-road culture built up by now. Instead, they're trying to push the offroad culture with the *new* FJ's......

I would've bought an open top FJ instead of a Wrangler.

Oh yeah definately AND they'd have something that would really give that Jeep a run for its money! I'd buy one:)

    :(

I now some one will ask why i don't get the FJ insted of the taco, but i already have an FJ40 (the real thing) and i need a truck, well don't realy need it, but is nice to have one, and here in Mexico trucks pay way less taxes than suv's
like $180 a year for a taco vs $1500 for the FJ.

Any way i probalby get to crazy with the white roof idea, but i was thinking on those old fj45 trucks, an try to kinda emulate one.

what i really like is the FJ roof rack over the taco rack, come on the taco roof rack looks like a minivan rr. I don't think it'll fit but may be some company can make something similar to the FJ's.
I definetly agree that toyota should have some comvertible option for the fj40 that would be bad ass.

About Jeeps, i still own one CJ7 (that i'll sell soon) but after buying the FJ40 i'm very disapointed with jeeps, there's a huge diference, FJ40's are WAY better.

On the FJ weels and tires i like the idea of having some for cheap, i like BFG's better than those dunlop street tires on my taco, just wonder if they would fit, i probably need to look for an FJ forum and see if i can buy some...

No your ideas are cool-check the truck owned by pb2themax photos-it has what looks like an fj40 rack up top and it is a proper mod IMO. You've got a good vision of what you want to do-go for it and keep us in pics along the way:D
