thanks Jon. I did have to shave the corner off the front elbow and cover the hole. But you're right it would have been tough with stock fenders unless you used 2" pipe instead of 3" like I did. I just posted up in my build that I'm changing it and it will no longer go into the cab. Just too much noise for long term driveability. Should still be clean and work will though.

Tell me about it. My heart would weep tears every time I said something to you only for it to go ignored, completely.

Well... I took the spare off and threw it in the bed and PB blasted all the nuts/bolts of the suspension one last time. And since the spare was off I saw rust outlines on the inside of my frame from where Jon welded on the frame plates on the outside.

Perfect opportunity to sand and paint with rust stop enamel.

Gotta go out and get the ribs and a few ingredients for the special sauce....

    New suspension.

    OME all around (881s)

CB drop, diff drop if necessary, new front and rear brake lines, BPV bracket, etc...

Once that's all one... putting on the new to me (and newly painted) wheels wrapped in new tires (Goodyear All Terrain Adventure 31x10.5r15). Then off to get aligned on Wednesday.

Then driving down to Bandolier Nat'l Moment to camp for the weekend with friends.

Very cool man. Until now, you've been wheeling on stock suspension? That's what I'm doing, for lack of funds of course. Best of luck and have fun on your camping trip. Be sure to post pictures

Complete OME kit w/ 881's and dakars. All-Pro Sliders, CB, HAM Radio and various other minor stuff.
Hope your install goes as easy as mine. I don't have the diff drop in. The angle isn't too bad. I also haven't had a need for a CB drop so with your RTT, you should have even less of an issue.

    Bone stock. For now.
    Quick question:

I put on my ARB/winch last night, and noticed the front sagged a bit more than usual, but I didn't think it was that much. While driving around on my lunch break I noticed some rubbing when taking a fast left-hand turn. I am currently running ToyTec coils and Bilsteins, and it doesn't seem like they're holding up the extra weight very well. I mean, it should rub during normal driving conditions. Does anyone know if OME's will fair better, or maybe some adjustable coilovers? Or perhaps I should just take a BFH and go to work...

I wish I had an RTT.

    Just a topper.

I'll have 4* shims for the rear as well. After reading several posts/threads about driveline vibrations post-lift-install, I really want it dialed in right off the bat.

And I hope it goes smoothly too. Maybe Brett's presence will counteract my shitty luck with Murphy's Madjik's Law.

What's the spring rate and free height on the coils?

There has to finally be a good reason to weigh 200 lbs. I can just hang off the breaker bar.

I hope the 8 or 10 PB Blaster applications helps.

It shouldn't be a problem unless they break off.

Do you have a canopy or a RTT on that thing? and which is heavier?

    I have a topper only.

And I have no idea how much either weighs :notsure:

They are 620LB springs, so I was a little surprised. IIRC the OME's are 590LB. I don't recall the free-standing height.

I'm running 882s (500lb rate/395mm) and added a 10mm top plate spacer to account for the Elite bumper. I stepped up to a 1/2" TPS when I added the Budbuilt IFS skid. The Warn winch didn't do much to dip the front end when I installed it.

The 883s are 590lb rate and 375mm tall. I have no experience with them.

I've inquired about Icons since I want to get them eventually and Wheeler's recommended 700lb coils, 14" tall for the weight I'm running in the front.
