Got my new wheels installed today. Forgot to order black lug nuts and could only find chrome ones in town. Oh well, the contrast looks kind of OK.

Next order of business will be tires. Found out today mine are almost 10 years old. Tons of tread left but I'm worried they'll rot out on me before the tread is gone.

I painted this on my cross member as a memorial. Hopefully when I'm running trails Mike is enjoying it too.

Has anyone relocated the stock rear bumps after a lift? Towed this today and the shocks looked like they'd run out of travel before the bumps touched.

Yeah, get some extended bump stops so you don't bottom out the shock. How did your truck handle that tow?

Started on my first fab project. Me and dyl0n (TW username) started to fab up a low profile bed rack. Nothing special. Mainly a learning process. If all goes well I will have a nice little bed rack! Everything is tacked into place and Now I just need to add some cross bars and a few more side supports. Not looking too bad!

    Such as timbrens?

It handled it good, it wasn't to bad stopping, but my top speed was 25 MPH, and I only had to tow it a half mile. I stayed in 2WD lo, trans temp never went over 170, and after I was at speed it dropped to 150.

    That looks simple enough, thanks.
    I assume that's from TacoDell's build?

Throw some mesh on top so that stuff doesn't fall in between the cross bars, etc

Just wiped it down. I don't do any of the pressure wash crap with degreaser. A good rag and a bottle of 409 or other general cleaner can do wonders. What really helped was not going through mud puddles or anything.

I don't have an RTT or Yakima bars (or the likes).

But if I ever go that route I will just cut out some of the mesh so I can secure mounts to it. Simple enough.

Complete OME kit w/ 881's and dakars. All-Pro Sliders, CB, HAM Radio and various other minor stuff.
You could still run a RTT. Just cut holes for the mounting brackets.

It would. But I don't plan on running an RTT or anything yet. I just got access to a bunch of 1x1 square tube and decided it would be best to try and build a bed rack. I want to try and mount my spare tire on top of it for now.
