Hey Alex! Want my opinion? Probably not but like everyone on the internet, you're gonna get it.
You don't pound on your truck, you are trying to make the best out of what you have and not break the bank. You struggle to let go of the factory baja suspension that you paid 10k for and thought you were getting the mother of all Tacomas.
I say run the little spacer. It's a tiny amount that is almost certainly not going to cause coil bind. Adding a little preload will be a good thing, you need a bit more up front to compensate for the extra weight both in sagging and weight on the compression.
I say for $150 put them hockey pucks up front and run the damn thing.
If you decide later down the line when you have the coin to upgrade to adjustable c/o's then great, do it.

Just buy some 700# springs from Micah at DSM to get you the extra inch, buy the 285's, and start saving for some 2.5's. Then sell the old set up for some new rears to match the new c/o's;)

Dave does have a good point however. If there is a heavier coil option for the factory baja bilsteins that would be a good route. Still under 200 bucks.
Can't dial in the valving like an aftermarket c/o but for 95% of what you do it would be more than sufficient.

...speaking of 700# springs, how would you guys go about swapping the springs of 650# Icons to 700# springs? I'm not sure it's possible to do with these cheap Auto Zone spring compressors they rent :notsure: any place that does this for cheap?

HAHA Thanks Tyler, I figured for what I do and the fact that I was not informed about my initial purchase (Baja Suspension) I would hate myself for dropping the suspension (at this point) and going full aftermarket) Thanks for tha advice as always very helpful!
Might look at this route also
    DONE
