So I've searched and searched and searched some more.

So a new thread was my last option.

I have a 2012 Tacoma TX Super Gnar Poor Man's TT. Anyways, everything I have read says the truck is 2 Inches taller than a stock Tacoma. Which I would have to agree with, however I have some questions.

    1. Is that 2 Inches of actual suspension lift? Or overal with the help of tires?

    2. Tires, I want something larger. I have run 285/75's on my last 2 Tacomas, and always hade to trim. However I was running a 4 inch BS wheel, (-12mm Offset) so they stuck out pretty good. Also I've run a UCA which increases the caster and moves the wheel closer to the firewall. Basically I am asking, will a 285/75 fit with my "2 inch" lift and TRD Baja Wheels with only minimal trimming? I'd like to run the mud flap, last Tacomas body got hammered with out them.

    3. Thank You.

PS I might take the coil out of the truck to investigate the possibility of a 3rd notch for more lift, I have a feeling it's hiding behind the spring perch.

I think its just the front that is up higher. Pure suspension lift. 1.5".

According to this photo, they have the same diameter tire as every other Tacoma 4x4 or prerunner.

I figured. I just wasn't sure how they calculated the lift.

    Yep 265/70.

The 2009 TX Pro at SEMA was rocking a 285/75, but then again, thats a SEMA vehicle.

    Anyone have a 285/75 on a 16" 4.5" BS Wheel as a spare they'd let me test fit :D???

Also curious on the above question. Also has anyone lifted a Baja another inch? I assume uca's would be required but will the coils/shocks work with another 1"? Would a front spacer and another leaf in the rear be the best way to do this?

I installed a 1 inch spacer by Toytec and I can clear 285/75/16s, but my front mud flaps have to come off or I need to trim. Tires rub on the front mud flap where it bumbles out. Tried the pro comp 2.25 leveling kit but made the truck ride like crap. Procomp 2.25" leveling kit on the bottom pick and Toytec baja 1 inch lift in the top pic.

left pic is Procomp 2.25 leveling kit. Pic on the right is after the Toytec Baja 1 inch lift.

ya you can say that again, lol! SEMA tacoma's are always way better spec than what you can buy at a dealership. remember years ago when toyota FINALLY released that yellow tacoma the one sporting the first tacoma trd supercharger for tacomas? they stated 408+ HP...

408hp huh, never seen an oem tacoma with just the trd supercharger do anything close to that! but the sema trucks are always pretty bad-a$$ to look at :)
