You know, whenever I see pics of that truck, I want to believe its previous life was a fleet vehicle for a plumbing business. And every single day, some big 300 lb. guy, ass-crack half out, would sit in that thing, poo from the daily job clinging to his shoes, streaking itself all over the basic carpet floor mats. Every now and then the guy would drop a greasy half of hot dog down between the seats on his lunch break, and on really unlucky days a few drops of corn beef from the lunch special Reuben would make its way down under the door trim, trapped to rot.

Then some Resident Evil fanatic comes along this abused Tacoma at wholesale auction, he pauses to cry a single tear, and decides to re-purpose the poor little guy. No longer a 5-lug, but a blacked-out zombie merking motherfucker.

Anybody know what size the base for the t-slot nut should be in order for it to slide into the rail? In other words, how wide are insides of the bed rails?

lol, a quick trip to your truck with a tape measure or ruler should give you the measurements. :p

Anyway, the BASE of the T-Slot Nut is 7/8" wide (tall when inserted vertically), and leaves a little wiggle room. up to 1" should be fine.

And here is the dimensions from Grizzly (comparable T-Slot Nut):
    A: 0.55"
    B: 3/8"-16
    C: 0.83"
    D: 0.34"
    E: 0.25"

Another option to the T nut are these..

I've got my toolbox secured to my bedrails and two eyebolts that I use as tie downs using 3/4" extruded speed nuts. Found them for $1.30 each at my local True Value and they work really well.
