Need some help guise. Hi lift malfunctioned (user error) and truck fell about 4" but landed on my floor jack, bumper took the impact. Just checking to see if this gap is normal or not, I don't remember it being there. Thanks

Doesn't look normal :( might have tweaked that cross bar a little on the truck. Here's mine. If the bumper is still straight on the truck, is it really a problem tho??

I guess I've got to start this very soon....

Are there washers between the two?

    Where is your bottom brace?
If you put that in and tighten it up it may close the gap back up

The bumper isn't straight upon further investigation.
    Nope, no washers
Explain this bottom brace? I have 2 brackets that came with the bumper but it said it was for the sway bar or something so I didn't install them, I still have them though.

Here is a 10 minute old pic or so, I guess I will have to remove it and see what the deal is. Thanks for the replies.

Add a couple spacers to the top bolt to even it up and youre good to go. and put on the bracket! It mounts where the sway bar mount but has nothing to do with it. It's extra support for the bumper.

I swear it was straight when I put it on, you have any pics of the bracket? I have them somewhere but didn't look like they fit anywhere. I guess I drank too much when I was installing the bumper.

This. The brace would have prevented this. It bolts up through where the sway bolts go, it has nothing to do with the sway bar function, its just where it bolts up. The supplied 3/8" bolt goes thru the brace, thru the entire cross-member and then thru the bumper. It ties everything into the frame. Install it and it will pull everything into place.

You shoulda drunk proofed the instructions! Do you have the dimensions of those bolts again? I found the brackets but idk what I did with the hardware, I will just go to the hardware store and buy some more.
Yea I didn't know where to look but I see it now. I found the bracket and held the up where the sway bar mounted on the bottom of the frame.

Haha, sorry bout that. Kinda shoulda drunk proofed em, hard to install a bumper without some beers.
The hardware is 3/8"-16 x 4.5" grade 8 hex bolts with flat and lock washers and grade 8 nuts. If you can't locate any just let me know, I got ya covered.
