I was out floating the river yesterday! Much fun!



AND!!! Yesturday I went to one of those trampoline gyms, and I finally learned how to back flip! Im so stoked I can actually do that, well now. All it took was a foam pit and 4 or 5 tries.

Then shortly after I tried to run across this wall of trampolines and managed to come down right on the divider between tramps and rolled the shit out of my ankle so im limping around now.

 

Went ahead and bought the Abu Garcia.

 

Good reels, dad has one of the cheaper wally world ones, and two older 6500 or 7500's, and I've got a 6500C with a wally world abu garcia rod.

You gonna use mono or braided line?

I went with braided 15wt. Only put 110 yards on but that should last me a while. Decided to go braided to help cut through moss and weeds and keep strength. I used mono yesterday on a reel and it broke to easy. Any suggestions? Beginner fisher just trying to get a new hobby.

 

My cousins use 20-30lb braided with a flouro leader of the same poundage.

I just use moss green 30 Lb power pro braid, works everywhere I usually fish.

My uncle made a big ol rats nest with my reel the other day, had to cut out 5 yards of line after I got it mostly untangled.

 

I'll give 15 a try since its already on there but if needed ill switch to a higher weight and look into the fluorocarbon. Definitely my first bait caster so ill get some practice.

Mine is moss green also. Hopefully get out tomorrow after work and give it some tries.

Nice! I only caught 3 fish yesterday, one black crappie that was 7inches or so and two small other things that weren't worth anything.

 

Some things I won't miss about home. Uncomfortable bed, sweating while sleeping, limited hot water, and terrible internet haha
