Starter Issues's help please

Hi my starter is acting up it makes a werid sound and not starting right off the bat. Its not a grinding sound but or more a weaking sound. My friend said it sounds like the silnoids going out. Can these be replaced or do i have to buy a another starter?

 

You can see new and old in the picture the old one's have about 100,000 miles on them.

 

I bet your right cause when it starts it makes the lights go dim when its makeing that sound. Can i replace them with the starter on the turck or should i take it off?

 

what motor? if its the 3.4 it dosent take long to get the starter out

 

Yeah 3.4l i had it out once when i did the tranny swap. i will pull the starter then
