I agree with John, boat, sails, masts and trailer, that seems like a decent deal. As far as sail boats go, they are very simple. They're not like the larger sail boats that have miles of line, pulley's, winches, etc.

Sunfish are a fun little boat. They are made for one person to easily sail.

Are they big enough to take out in something like Plymouth harbor or casco bay?

Depends on your ability and how calm the waters are. They are used a lot on the Charles River, they aren't a lot of fun in choppy waters or high winds.

Lol no I mean the second gens are the red headed step children of the 4R family haha

Great deal, I have one myself that I got from my dad. It's a fun little boat but I enjoy riding on the 18' catamaran much more.

Oh man the sunfish is SOOO fun on choppy waters!

    By "fun" he means "wet"

Sailfish are great learners/fun boats. They sail on a ghost of a breeze and you don't have to actually know anything about sailing to use one.
On the other hand, in anything other than a mild chop you're going to get wet. But with a sunfish, that's really part of the fun. For that price, in good shape, I'd say buy it.

    Could be true :anonymous:

You get wet getting into the boat anyway. I always love sailing right before a storm. Much wind, so sail
