Sounds like this suddenly changed from group buy to bulk order. For your sake Cody, I would say drop it. When they ship to you, it will be in fewer but larger boxes, which leaves you to open everything up, repackage into smaller stuff, and send it all out to us. This also means we are paying for shipping twice. Not sure what the savings is in going with the bulk purchase, but I can imagine that difference being mostly negated by the extra shipping. This would also be an extra week's worth of spare time you won't have.

Yup. It sounds like a lot more work than I would want to do. Therefore, I don't want someone else to do it. I vote to just drop it. If they aren't going to set up a more conventional group buy for us, they didn't want the business bad enough.

Both of these. This is ridiculous. And OP, I hope you didn't think I was upset with you previously when venting about the logo thing. And these guys are right, this probably won't be cost effective at all in the end.

Consider your time and what it's worth. For me, free time is time I could be spending with my family or friends, so I consider my free time to be worth what I get paid overtime at work. Once you deal with all this and then ship it to us, I don't think anybody is saving money. HeatShield has disappointed me here.

Thanks for trying to do a good thing.

    +1. I'm out.

Thanks for the time and effort you've invested, not to mention your willingness to play along with the vendor's stupidity, OP! While their product is "cheap enough" to just buy, I'm much less-inclined to do so after this.

I'm still in if you decide to move forward with this. If I were you though, I would just drop it. Sounds like WAY too much effort on your part with pretty small savings for us. Either way, thanks for all you've done.

That doesn't really sound like a group buy. Take my name of the list. I don't want you to have to do all that work just so everyone can save $5-$10.

Alright guys, GB is not going to happen. I sincerely & truly appreciate you all taking into account the time and effort vs the cost that would be saved. I couldn't cancel the GB after being faced with a challenge without you all having a input. Truly wish this could have gone a different way. I pushed for a coupon or web link for us but it didn't prevail.

And let me give a personal thanks as well to AR15xAR10 for always outposting me being able to keep things in the right direction when they steered and for being the person I could count on if the GB would have continued.
