I prefer them over the others... i like kyle petty's candidness and wally has moments where he adds comedic value. can't stand the hillbillies (minus mike joy) at fox (darrell drives me insane with his "boogity boggity" and constant fawning over danica) espn is just flat out terrible. their only redeeming quality is alan bestwick, he and mike joy are the best play-by-play guys going now.

 

It's not the TNT analyst personalities, I'm fine with that. it's the actual coverage: camera angles, audio quality, not following developing stories throughout the race, no pit road commentary at all hardly under greens or cautions. They were a mess.

 

i never picked up on those things didn't bother me enough, i guess. i did notice yesterday that they could've used more cameras, there was not one good shot of the shepard/logano wreck.

one thing i will say tnt does wrong is not cutting into commercial for a caution. i can't remember if fox did it earlier this year, but i know they all used to do it.

one complaint i keep hearing about tnt is the number of commericals... but honestly i think all three stations are equally awful as far as that goes...

 

Plus all the "technical difficulties" during the coverage.

 

Each tv contract has a commercial limit, they do it by green flag laps I believe. So "this many green flag laps=this many tv commercials" something of that nature, and yes, they are all pretty equal TNT just does it at inopportune times

 

I agree about DW He just says some silly things like "he's a wheel man, he is up on that wheel" Huh??

 

Yea it'll be nice to have some people analyzing the race that have actually competed in these newer cars! Burton did a very nice job (25th?) this weekend in his limited time. That was his last race if anyone noticed, I think Kyle petty mentioned it once, ridiculous.

 

Also if anyone was wondering why Morgan Shepard was racing, a lot of helping hands in that one, he actually started his first race on TNT and this weekend was his "last" which concluded TNT also. A story that TNT themselves didn't cover lol.

Agreed! They have gone downhill for a few years now with their camera angles, and additional information. Heck when they were waiting for the command to start engines last week there was a full minute of dead air!

 

Truck race on dirt at eldora Wednesday night, I cannot wait, it was one of the best races last year!

 

I've been to Eldora to watch sprint cars. Loads of fun. I hope I remember about the truck race.

Agreed! Except A. Dillon is the 2nd most overrated driver in NASCAR....
