Who cares what they weigh when your big enough to just drive over them . I dont do that anymore but i used to all the time. I used to see no reason why roads needed closed to all vehicals, esp ones big enough to just drive over their road blocks.

 

Because most roads are closed for a reason. It's that exact mentality you stated you used to do that gives the OHV community a bad name. Thanks for no longer taking part in that kind of stuff.

Yea well its coming out and I could care less what others think, especially the tree huggers. Now the entire woods are getting trashed and trees cut down because of it. If the trail was open people would use it. Now that its blocked they just use alternate routes and its causing seriouse erosion and damage.

If people could control their kids and they weren't back there drugging it up it would never of been closed but the dipshits in my town decided to block it to stop them. What they failed to think about is the kids are on foot and cops/firefighters now have no quick access.

There are always extenuating circumstances such as what you mentioned. I fully support and am an active advocate of keeping OHV areas open, that's why I involve myself in the meetings cleanup runs etc. that are constantly ongoing. Just organizing a cleanup day or trail maintenance day will go pretty far in the eyes of the people that put that sign and blockade there. Just a thought.

 

I got caught once driving over a closed road barrier by BLM i told them i was asked to test it out buy another blm Guy he let me go and then i got a call 2 weeks later asking what they could do to impove them The local 4X4 club had helped build them in the first place. So i just told them unless the area gets a bunch of big trucks like mine i wouldnt worry about it. And after that i got their # and just got permision to use land as needed.
