If you were to get rid of your tacoma what would you get?

    1) 2013 F-150

    2) 2013 Chevy Silverado

    3) 2013 Ram 1500

Just curious of what majority would do. Just for the "american" trucks. Im sure most would pick the tundra and I would agree.

    F-150 FX4 5.0 V8 in a heartbeat. But, I don't need a full size and for small trucks you can't beat a Taco!

Why ask such a question......go with a Tundra.

I've had an 04 Dodge Ram, bought it new. Nice truck....a little too big for me but we needed it for towing. The tranny 'hunted' for gears while towing. The 4WD light came on (within warranty) and was at the dealership 3x until they found the problem (something deep inside the dash). Meh.......

Never owned a Ford, and I wouldn't want to start.

If anything, the Chevy........and only because I already own one (corvette)

I owned a 09 Z71 Silverado and that truck to quite a beating for many years. Never failed me once, never got stuck, never had to replace anything. And when I was driving back and forth between NC and TX it was like driving a caddilac..

Only down side was that I was getting 14 mpg and so that really hurt the wallet.. so I traded it in on my 4cyl tacoma

I'm actually toying with the idea of going full size. Probably won't, I like to keep my car and truck in the garage and the full size trucks are just a few inches too long. And I don't really need a full size, but I've been looking at the Ram 1500 Sport and the Tundra TRD Offroad Crewmax. What the wife don't know won't hurt me. :)

You need another category in the poll, other. Personally I would search for an old solid axle Chev/GMC in good shape and not be shy about paying a premium price for it.

I've driven all three trucks (although the Chevy just for a quick spin around the block). The Ford would be my choice if not going with a Tundra because I've owned several Ford's in the past and they worked out great for me. I like the styling of the Ford the best but the in dash controls are just confusing and stupid IMO with their Sync and all those buttons. I don't need a full size truck but when the time comes I will seriously consider an F-150 vs. Tundra

Up until now I've only owned Fords. I never had any problems. So I'd go F-150.

I'll take a Chevy, then when it gets recalled I can get rid of it and get a Tundra.

The Chevy 5.3 is a shit motor. it would be a tough call between the Dodge and The F150(5.0) not impressed with the Ecoboost. Now if one of the choices was a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 would be my choice with the Ecodiesel in a heart beat.
