I want to get a 3 inch lift on my 4 cylinder pre runner but I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it any good suggestions? And I want to put a nice big,
wide set of tires that are off road tires but are friendly on the street

you have a bunch of options for 3 inch lifts. cheapest would probably be spacers and block lift. then maybe bilstein 5100's and an 1.5" add a leaf. depending on your budget, you can start there. for tires i'd go with an all terrain, toyo at2s are a good choice, maybe 33" size if you want that big, of course they have their drawbacks (power loss and mpg diminish)
heres the suspension subforum, read through the stickies to find anything you need. goodluck

What's your budget? Your lower end products would be spacers and leveling kits- you don't want any of those if you plan on wheeling. No body lift kits
Mid end products would be like bilstein, OME (old man emu not OEM), and toytec
Your arm and leg- high end kits would be icon, king, and fox
Tires vary person to person but you can't go wrong with duratracs or bfgs for street and off road use

For that you can do bilsteins and some coils, maybe an aal for the back.
Look around on CL you can find great deals there, I got 5 tires with rare wheels a while back for like $400

Weather tech floormats and visors, ImMrYo rear-view mirror bracket Cooper ST Maxx 255/85/16 On stock TRD alloys. OME 887's w/NitroCharger sports, LR uca's, Toytech sway bar relocate, Dakar leaf's modified with some 1/8" UHMW liner strips. SuperBumps front and back.
Or you can use that 1500 to go chase some tail. Decisions, decisions. Tail or trail? Otherwise, aal, and spacers or blistiens. It might not ride great, but your 15, so it will be ok.
