I got a deal with one of the dealerships for a 2014 taco OR with tow package and the premium entune package thing. MSRP 34,280. they are offering 32,700. Good deal or not? I've been to 3 different dealerships and I'm feeling like I'm lowballing them because I'm not getting anywhere with them... any thoughts and/or advices? THANK YOU!

I read through that, I would like to kind of know about Utah area. It seems people are getting killer deals in Florida and California.

I'm in CO....msrp was 34150, paid ~31700. Factoring in mileage and gas, probably not worth the drive.

When I was negotiating, I told the local dealer that "dealer x" had a price of 31700 and if they could match it, then I'd buy from them since they were closer. Not sure how many dealers in your area but would be worth a try. They're not going to want to lose business to another Toyota dealer.

$32.7 sounds about right. I've been looking in SLC area at '14 ORs. Bountiful seemed like the best to deal with and Mark Miller being the worst. Miller seems to have the Service Dept though. Been to LHM for parts before and the have a better stock than the others.

    Who quoted you that price?

Awesome, that's good to know. Bountiful wanted 32950 and nothing less and mark miller quoted me the 32900 and told me he'll take $200 off because I told him that bountiful "was gonna take a few hundred off more". I didn't realize how stressful car buying should be and it helps to see and get tips from others on here. Awesome webpage!

Assuming short bed, double cab, or/nav/tow, they want 33,600 thru internet dealers in D.C. area. If you can do for 32,700. (invoice is 32,200) maybe as good as you're gonna get...unless you want to wait for the July clearance sales and roll the dice

In all honesty based on what I found out. Get 3 or 4 dealerships to give you their best price. Hackle them down as much as possible and whoever gives you the best deal go to them. That's about the best way you will get the lowest price. Other than that you can read threads for hours on what everyone paid and they will all be different. KCCO

$32.7K is a very good price. I was going to buy new but a few months ago there was a good inventory of Certified '12s & '13s. I was going to buy the truck I ended up buying from Bountiful as a Certified Used but couldn't make it there before I went on vacation to WY. I'm 150 miles from the valley so logistics and timing were a problem for me. Also, my wife is Native American so sales tax exempt. Bountiful was the only dealer who was willing to complete the paperwork for exemption.

Fast Forward, by the time I got back from WY the truck was wholesaled off the lot. About a month later, I found the truck on KSL at another dealer who gave me a better price, filed tax exemption and was closer to home. I paid $28K cash out the door. I saved about $6K buying Used to give up putting the first 19k miles on it. I still have balance of 36K warranty, 18 months or 17K miles.

The one thing I learned during 6 months of research is that Tacos, new or used, don't last long on the lot here. Good luck in your pursuits and I'm sure you'll strike a good deal. Just don't wait too long!

used truecar, got 2750 off msrp, all other dealers didn't want to match that price, ended up buying from them and couldn't be happer. plus they had the truck over there within 24h instead of ordering the exact same one...

Hey all, sorry for not being specific on my details. And yes OCNutty, those specs were what I was lookin for. So with all of your guys input and everything, I felt good with my purchase today! :) I asked for 32700-32900, $10,000 down and she said we can meet in the middle, she did 32871 and I asked if she can just do 32771 and she went back and came back out with $32500. So it was the best deal I could get between 4 dealerships, I went for it and now a proud owner of a 2014 Tacoma! :) THANK YOU ALL FOR REPLYING!

$32.5 is a good deal. What dealer? Did they handle the financing?

Glad you got it! That's about what we paid, I live in California. I got the same truck, 4x4 double cab TRD Offroad, tow package, entune for right around 33k. I'd say thats definitely a fair price for yours.
