    You've got the vibrant tube from the turbo going where? To some aluminum pipe then into the intercooler intake? Or straight to the intercooler with the vibrant?
    Plan on keeping it that way, or go with something smoother like a solid aluminum pipe?


    On second look, I think I can see aluminum into a vibrant connector then into the intercooler.

    Sucks about the oil pressure! Time for full dry sump :D

    Do you have any leads on what's the culprit for the pressure? Did you baffle your oil pan?

    Currently I don't have the turbo on. That was just an earlier picture when I installed it for mock-up, to determine what changes might be necessary.

    Filter - Vibrant silicone coupling - turbo inlet - Vibrant 2.5" to 3" silicone reducer - 3" aluminum tubing - Extreme PSI 90* 3" silicone coupling - intercooler - Extreme PSI 3" 90* silicone coupling - 3" aluminum tubing - throttle body.
    Either sooner or later, that will be a undeniable fact.

    No baffles. The 4x4 pans are much more sufficient than the 4x2/ X-Runner pans. With depth and walls. Think about all of the times 4x4 trucks are at odd & steep angles. I don't deny the fact that some form of baffling would be an improvement none the less. 4x4 pans are better on road that the 4x2 as well.

    We did. It dawned on me when we were about to perform a simple pressure test. The test: remove the oil filter and fuel pump relay. Crank engine and see if oil comes out.

    Upon removing the oil filter, which was not easy at all, the issue was immediately apparent. My oil cooler adapter plate with its capped ports. It is thermostatically controlled. When the oil temp reaches ~160*, a valve moves to redirect flow through the cooler then back to the engine. Being capped, once that valve moved, oil could go no where. That is why at idle, we never noticed a problem, nor during the initial oil filter break-in. Never got it hot enough.
    I only did blocked them off, because I didn't wa t the potential for possible metal flakes to get in the cooler. I completely overlooked the valve fact. Which nearly cost me my engine.
    Lesson learned.
    It will be better soon enough. I have some tubing which needs to be re-worked. It will look better, but more importantly, perform better.

    Not yet. That won't be until later. After tuning, and possible race. Not yet sure if all is well with the engine. Need to test drive it today.

    Would a same side intercooler not eliminate that? I was also curious
