You can do what I'm gona do and put it (a smaller ic) under the radiator angled back 45deg on the bottom so it's bottom is level with the bottom of the radiator. Fab up some sheet metal around and underneath it (probably diamond tread aluminum plate [pretty :)]) to funnel the air in like the f150 ecoboost design.

My issue is the radiator bottom support beam. Im going to cut it out and weld in a piece of metal more flush with the AC radiator to make some room.

Not gonna work as well as I'd thought. Forgot there is lateral support bar. Will have to fab a new one of those as well to make it work. Im not going to boost very high, might just get a smaller intercooler.

It's not the size that matters, it's how you use it
With that funnel design, it may bring really good results.

That's a perfect size actually. The one I got had an OAD of 6.5"x19"x2.5" and I certainly could have fit one that was 6" longer. I know black would look amazing and add to the "creeper affect" but I hope the paint on it doesn't affect the cooling properties. I imagine bare aluminum would be the most efficient design.

Ok, so here is what Im looking at doing. Now have access to an AC vac pump (thanks Clint!) and plan to discharge AC system and remove the AC pipes located behind the grill and swap them out with steel braided hoses to allow me to mount the IC behind the grill.

I need to know the AC line fitting sizes
Also need to stupid check this before I blow something

Steel lines Im looking at these:

Not sure of the reliability of using self crimped stainless braided hose for your AC pipes. If you can get measurements and the type of fittings I know Hampton Rubber and other companies in this area with make custom bent tubes and connections that may better fit your requirements.

I'm sure if you asked for a PSI rating they would comply, I would much rather have a custom bent stainless hardline for 500 psi over a home made braided stainless steel.

I happen to have a stainless braided O2 adapter here in my shop that is rated at 2400 psi that Hampton Rubber made for one of our production units.

Well Ive been researching and there are some "u bend em" aluminum piping but Ill need a small pipe bender. Unfortunately, they come in established lengths so might be tricky getting them to fit right (end fittings are pre attached).

From most ppl Ive talked to, max PSI in a typical auto A/C unit should be no more than 400PSi. The Aeroquip hoses have been around for a while and have a good reputation :notsure:

I really cant think of any other way of doing this short of trading the kit for a TRD SC and calling it a day :p

I only got 240 psi when I charged my system. I wouldn't think you need anything higher than 400.

Also the website for the Hitachi tools is bigskytools.com

Operating PSI on a hot day gets up to 400. The lines are rated to 500 so I should be ok...

Thanks for the link  Now I have a new website to throw some money at :p

    Much needed update.

Done messing with this IC. Im comitted to fitting an all pro baja bumper. Going to get this IC:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CO78JO6/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2ZDMPK9MICO93

    Some suspension work:

Added the 1/4" trim spacer on the driver side to fix the taco lean.

Didn't like how soft the OME's were and planned on some extra weight in the back anyways so when ahead and installed some OME AAL's and some 3* axlr trim tabs. Also noticed the Daystar shackles bent when I did my power slide off the highway all those months ago. Replaced them with some Trail Gear shackles (beafy). Truck has a noticable rake despite the shorter shackles but it should settle.

Also have some 5150's for the shock relocation.

A few more pics. The slopped drive way doesnt help with the rake...

Its comming. Just need to figure out the IC. I was hoping to get more work done this weekend but had to fix an oil leak and figure out an overheating problem with the Tercel. Oil leak is fixed and waiting for a new thermostat to fix the overheating.
