    That would cause high centering with a foot longer wheelbase, where I go! No problem in Florida, Kansas or any other flat place, right?

    Anyway, my reply was to just assure those who are used to some truck 6 ft. beds, that the second gen Tacoma 5 ft. bed holds the same gear because it is both wider and deeper than the first gen beds.

    Oh, I know I was wrong with the earlier statement, thanks for pointing that out. I was thinking a longer bed would mean a longer rear overhang. The other issue for me not wanting a longer Tacoma is so it would fit in my garage. The DC 5 ft. bed truck just fits with a few inches to spare.

    The side that is long bed or the side that likes Oz-T? Only side I'm on is that of long bed double cabs. I think the short beds look weird. even if they are better for off roading, I just think they look like their growth got stunted.

    Is that based off toyota specifications or something? Cause I've never had any trouble hauling things. I moved from Oregon to Utah to Arkansas with a fully loaded truck and full trailer with no trouble.
    I'll admit, I'd love to have the locking rear differential, but I like my long bed. To each his own. Either way, the trucks are great.
