Hey guys. figured this was a good bs post. I went offroading for the first time in this truck this weekend 14 dcsb sport. That was my consolation prize since i couldnt make it on the Rausch park trip. Lets play what have we learned.

Either stock paint sucks or its just that the new paint hasnt fully hardened cuz i got woods pinstripes like whoa. They compounded out nicely though. so no harm done.

My truck sucks. Either its dragging over rocks that it has no business dragging over...or the stock tires are rubbing like hell. Wait, no....its the mudflaps dragging over rocks! I felt dumb once I figured that out.

Really, it felt great for a stock truck. Took it real well. Low range crawls nice....although it was a little reluctant to shift into LO as all trucks tend to be. Feels like its meant to do this kinda stuff. Its nice to wheel in a narrowish truck.

    Where did you go wheeling?

I think you'll be happy wheeling the Tacoma. Lift, tires, and some armor and these trucks are pretty damn impressive.

I worked 4-midnight and now I'm covering the midnight- 8 am shift.

Got a call at 1am from my girlfriend saying there is an issue at the house so I rushed home. My roommate went out for a smoke and heard air hissing and noticed his jeep and my truck were leaning.

Some fucking scumbag sliced both of his passenger side tires and both of my driver side tires. In my driveway.

The part that pisses me off the most is that my front tire, is my new spare tire. Never even been driven on and someone put a knife through the sidewall.

Called the cops and since my roommate was drunk and pissed off, the cop was being an extra large douche. He said that since my roommate's wheel had curb rash it had to of gotten sliced by hitting something and then drove home with a flat tire. He said there's no way someone could've cut the sidewall more than a stab unless they had a sawzall.

After he left I put my pocket knife through the sidewall and was able to slice it as far as I wanted so he was full of shit. Also there's no way my roommate drove on a flat tire because the rim of the wheel would be fucked up all the way around. There was just a section with curb rash on the outer edge.

    Fucking cum stains
And what a douche canoe cop, if both tires had slices in it then clearly it wasn't curb rash

Try using your car insurance to get a replacement, if that don't work maybe your homeowners insurance would cover something like that. Then again homeowners may not do it without a police report

    Sorry to hear josh :(

Yeah that's fucking ridiculous. Unless someone had it out for you what the fuck would someone gain by slashing your shit?

Idk anyone that would want to do that. Unless maybe my roommate pissed someone off and I just happened to be parked next to him.

Car insurance has a $500 deductible so that probably won't work.

Cop said maybe home owners since it was on the driveway not in the street, but I think I have an even higher deductible for that, so I don't see any way other than just paying it myself.

What was the cops reasoning for your tires being slashed? Like he had the curb rash bs story for your roommates but what did he say about yours?

Could be anyone... Many years ago on a trip back from VT I had 3 friends with me and some pos crossed into my lane and ran me into the woods almost killing us all. I turned around and followed him home. Couple weeks later we paid him a visit.

God dam Josh... I think its time to invest in a camera on the front of your house... Wasn't the spare tire stolen off your truck at one point too?

Either way thats really shitty... Id want bloodshed if someone did that to me!

Sorry to hear about that, Josh. At least it was just some slashed tires and nothing got broken into and stolen, and nobody's life was threatened. Put up a motion sensing floodlight to give them something to think about next time. Costco has IR security camera kits for sale all the time too if you want to go that route as well.

If I remember correctly it's a street that goes around to another street. That really sucks that you have to pay out of pocket.
