Any one know how hot an engine should run? After installing the header. My 2.7 seems to be running hotter.

 

How are you checking temp?
Dash gauge, Ultra Gauge, or it just "feels hotter" under the hood?
If it just "feels hotter", it's because it's a tube header and is naturally giving off more heat, the engine should not be affected by this.

We got our pee pee's slapped...

 

I have an app on my phone that measures RPM, hp and coolant temp among other stuff. I use to run 187-194 now I'm over 200- 210. Is that ok? Plus it's hotter under the hood.

 

Ping pong ball size hail and my truck is outside. God. Dammit.

210 seems high to me but can't say for sure.

Your header is dissipating more heat that is raising the overall temperature of your coolant under the hood. I say you might try wrapping your header in that exhaust wrap so the heat does increase under the hood like that.

 

100 degrees and dry here in Boise, ID. Plenty of forest fire smoke too. It will be nice to get back home to cooler temps tomorrow.
