& Pin towing plug wiring question.

I know this has probably been beaten to death but I did a search and I am not really finding exactly what I am looking for and was hoping you guys could help.

Just this last weekend I went off roading in Moab and destroyed the trailer 7 pin plug on the hitch of my 2010 DCSB Base Tacoma. I bought e new on one at Walmart that has a 4 pin flat and a 7 pin round all in one.

Now my question is, what is the wire color on the truck end of the plug??

So far I have figured out that I need to hook it up as follows, and please do correct me if I am wrong.

truck GREEN - new plug BROWN
truck BLACK - new plug BLACK
truck BROWN - new plug GREEN
truck YELLOW - new plug PURPLE
truck BLUE - new plug BLUE
truck WHITE - new plug WHITE
truck RED - new plug YELLOW

I would like to know if this is correct and if not, how then.... lol
Also the wires on the back of the new plug I bought has a 4 pin flat male connector pig tail thing that, I assume, goes to the front of this new plug to hook a trailer with a 4 pin flat to.

My question regarding this pig tail is, do I have to hook that up to the 7 pin wiring to have it work or is there some cross wiring inside the plug that makes this thing work?

 

should have everything you need to know as far as wiring on the truck side.

id also imagine the 4 pin is wired internally to the 7pin harness.
