Ha me to. Suppose to have been delivered Tuesday so I tore it down Monday night but they didn't show till Wednesday so I had to put it back together and then disassemble again lol. This bearing had no slop or roughness but changed it anyway since it has 112000 miles on it. Changed my passenger side a few weeks ago and it had 212000 miles on it. Impressive. Inner seal was shot so just a matter of time. Best the truck has rode since coming off the lot.

The rotor has an 8mm bolt hole threaded in it. You can thread a bolt into that to help separate the rotor from the hub

You can use one from under the hood. I believe the bolts that hold the air intake to the fenderwell are 8mm

Those threaded holes worked perfectly! 30 seconds and the rotor popped right off, nice and easy! The rest of the install was pretty easy. I seriously cannot believe how much quieter the truck is. Now I'm starting to wonder just how long that wheel bearing had been bad.

    Awesome product, thanks so much!!

can't go wrong with the bolt method, saves the rotor from being damaged from hitting it with a hammer.

amazing how much noise a bad wheel bearing makes, right?

glad your happy and everything went smooth

anyone know it the 05+ hubs are considered "sealed"? I stripped one of the hub bolts that connects to the spindle and need to separate it to replace it thanks.

    It is a sealed bearing.

To replace one of those 4 bolts you would have to press the hub flange half way out of the bearing. In doing so, the seal is usually damaged.

A new assembly would be an easier fix :)

This may sound a bit ignorant but, how do you know when you should/have to replace the Wheel Bearings?

Keeping your deal on them in mind of course...

You'll hear a slight howl from time to time. And with mine, when the howl started, I could feel slight vibrations thru the floorboard. The howl & vibration would increase during corners at highway speeds. When it's bad enough, you'll know. ;)
