    Apparently a separatist group who had already shot down some Ukrainian military planes thought this was another AN-26 (used by the Ukraine military), like one they had previously shot down. After they realized it was a civilian plane they removed all the social media posts they made bragging about this takedown.

    Extremely unfortunate that this has happened like Korean Air 007. Some people were speculating that the crew must have drifted off their planned course to end up over the "warzone" and the rebels occupying the AA site locked onto the wrong target.

    They did shoot down a military jet yesterday after all.

    I've met him in person and talked with him, too. Seems to be a pretty "real" guy when he's not focused on being "on" as a politician.

    Anyway, condolences to the families that lost someone on that plane. Such a crazy thing to have happen.

    Just a commentary towards biden's ability to be the first to say "it". He has a history of jumping the gun (not that I doubt the plane was shot down), and not having the tact you would expect from someone holding the office of the VP.
