My uncle flies that airline all the time since his company is building a factory in Malaysia. It hits a little too close to home.

I know someone who is supposed to fly Malaysian next week, into the Ukraine.

No way in hell. Hope the company has already canceled.

I thought the rebels had captured a Ukrainian army SAM site in the early days of what is going on.

I would think that falling from that high would shred up any human remains but I guess not...

The plane was in the airspace that the seperatist's said they would shoot down planes in

Arthur Rosenberg, an American lawyer who specializes in aviation cases, told CBC News that the U.S. had already issued a notice to pilots and airplanes to stay away from the area because it's incredibly dangerous.

He said that just days ago, one of the leaders of the pro-separatist movement in the Ukraine took responsibility for shooting down a Ukrainian transport aircraft and had issued a warning to stay out of their airspace.

"That was a very foreboding warning which apparently was not heeded — I hate to point the finger at this point — by Malaysian Airlines. Bottom line is good God, what were they doing in that airspace? It makes absolutely no sense."

Anyone want an unbiased review? With similar incidents included in each one. Please press the red 'More' to extend my comment.

    1. Ukraine
    2. Separatists
    3. Russia

    1. Ukraine: Many air bases/defence bases nearby with 'Buk air defence systems' that Western Media has claimed MH17 was downed by. Similar incident, in 2001, a Russian airline flying from Israel was shot down by an S-200 missile from Ukrainian Air Defence. Su-25 jets have recently been operating in the area. Putin's plane flown by 'Rossiya' was nearby MH17 at the time, in similar colours of the MAS plane.

    2. Separatists: Seperatists showed off their 'Buk air defence system' on Twitter. Separatists operate in that area. Perhaps they thought it was a military jet. People have claimed Russia supplied the separatists with these 'Buk air defence systems'. Similar incident, In 1988, the US Military admitted to accidentaly shooting down an Iranian A300 commercial plane after mistakenly identifying it as an F-14 jet and paid the families of the victims compensation.

    3. Russia: Russia recently downed a Su-25 jet belonging to the Ukrainian Air Force with one of their own jets (Ukrainian & Western claim). Perhaps the Russian Military identified it as an invading Ukrainian Air Force plane, trying to invade Russian territory. Russia is the inventor of the 'Buk air defence system' and has many in its arsenal.

For now we can do is speculate. You never know, it can be due to either one of these. Instead of shouting "RUSSIA HITLER" or "UKRAINE HITLER" you can wait till investigation crews from Ukraine, EU, Russia and US arrive to give an accurate report of what happened from the crash site and black boxes recovered from the site.

The exact same thing happened with Korea Air 007. Hell they were even both shot down by Russians. If you think about it even an extremely small error can cause massive errors in where you are going over a long distance like that.

There was a picture of one of the plane tracking web sites and there were several civilian planes in the area.

Hell there is a civilian flight flying right over the border of Russia and Ukraine right now.

Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing the truth about this or many other things. We depend on what the media tells us. The way of the world.

It is amazing that Malaysia Airlines, or the flight crew would knowingly route their aircraft over an active combat area where other aircraft have been shot down?

There are plenty of airway routes from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur without flying over the Ukraine........

It seems like you would direct all of your planes to stay out of all contested airzones. ESPECIALLY one where a plane was shot done the prior day.

Dude, seriously?? Physics 101?? The plane was struck at an altitude of over 30,000 ft. Even if it was a hit that destroyed most of the plane, by the time the debris falls for over 4 miles, unless a fuel is ignited, there wouldn't be a fire or smoke. There is a 9 mile long debris field. Physics 101 would tell you that the explosion seen in the video couldn't possibly send parts of planes and bodies flying 9 miles away. GTFO with your conspiracy theories.

I've seen top gun. Those jets went down in a fireball.
